When I was a kid in this town, pot was everywhere, and nobody seemed to care. Kids smoked it behind the cafeteria @ Mohonasen, in the woods behind the school (by the power lines), after school, whenever. It was seemingly everywhere. Hell, my uncles used to smoke whatever they could find. I'm not gonna say nobody gave a damn, but it sure wasn't in the news like it is today. Yet, today - try finding it in town, it's harder than you may think. (And if you find some, let me know!)
I remember when I was in Mohn Junior High, I found a brown paper bag in the hallway near a side/back entrance - with a bunch of it inside. Nobody said nuthin!
Today, people use it for medical purposes, recretation - and we've got a govt that won't consider legalizing it, yet will continue to allow regular tobacco - taxing the hell out of it and making a profit windfall for NYS. Something's REALLY wrong with that.

Well no, America is at "war" with drugs, so those people that sell drugs are the enemy. If you point out how unsuccessful the war on drugs is, by box logic you are supporting drug dealers. Any opposition to government policy is treason, and you will be labeled a sympathizer for the "enemy". In this instance the enemy is drugs.
BTW, using box's logic I'm an Al Qaeda sympathizer because I question the policy of drone attacks especially againt U.S. citizen.
