They hardly ever come out for midterm, or local elections. Not meaning to be stereotypical, but the truth's the truth. An awful lot of them don't even know what a mid term election IS, or how it could affect them personally. The same goes double for local elections.
I'll bet you anything you'd like that if you go through the ghetto, you'll find more people who know who the front runner in American Idol is, than knows who their congressman is. You'll get the same results in any trailer park, or Walmart as well.
