from the time I was 13 we didn't even have a first car...................our vacation's were a visit to gram and grampa on the farm in Ashland and a week camping in tents up in Wells..........................when Dad couldn't afford to drive anymore, him and Mom scrimped and saved and bought us an above ground 4' deep swimming pool.........................probably the happiest times of my life and probably why I write so much about the old neighborhood
