Anti-Bullying legislation introduced
Reported by: Meagan Farley Email: meaganfarley@fox23news.com
Print Story Published: 5/07 9:04 pm Share Updated: 5/07 9:13 pm

On April 20th, an 11-year-old girl from Schenectady was badly beaten by a girl she went to school with.

Her parents say they had no idea that their daughter was having issues with her classmate and Tuesday Assemblyman Jim Tedisco called for new legislation that would make parents aware when their children are having problems with bullying.

11- year -old T'yanna Lockridge was attacked by a classmate and it was caught on a cell phone camera.

T'yanna's mother, Misty Delaney, says she had no idea that her daughter was scared for her safety and that she had specifically asked to be walked home from school that day by an aide.

"Nobody from the school contacted me, " said Delaney.

"In this case the individual said it is probably not a problem and we will let an aide walk you across the street to the Boys and Girls Club," said Tedisco. "Well apparently there was a problem because in the middle of the street they were well organized."

The legislation proposed by Tedisco would require parental notification by a school when a school official witnesses bullying or a child reports that their safety is threatened by a bully.............................>>>>...........................>>>>...................http://www.fox23news.com/news/.....JY0u3ATbeNX4HZw.cspx

Another Clown Republican

What a f**king backwards a** useless law.

How about this...

First, WHY ISN'T THE CHILD MAKING THE PARENT AWARE THEY ARE BEING "BULLIED"?  It is the parent’s responsibility to teach their child how to handle people with bullying personalities. The parents in this case are using the teachers as a scapegoat to take all parental responsibility away from them.

Second...HOW ABOUT PASSING A LAW GIVING THE PARENT THE OPTION TO TAKE THEIR CHILD OUT OF THE VIOLENT SCHOOL WHERE THEIR CHILD WAS ASSAULTED?   Great job Jimmy T!  You are just another in a long line of big government Republicans that sell big government compuslory institutions as good, as long as it is managed under Republican leadership.  This ridiculous law serves only one use - as a campaign slogan for Tedisco's re-election bid.

Ginnie's Law

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

This will inevitably lead to bullies making sure they leave no witnesses breathing.

this will eventually COMPLETELY remove any cajones that a person has left to live the rest of their life......why? because why bother having a rod in your back when all the government does
is remove it notch by notch via the rhetoric called 'protections'.......

can't you just picture the jellyfish squishing around the country, all civil like?

not that I love a bully, but to make one's forehead into flint and a stong rod in one's back assists in one's survival....JMHO

never give your personal training to defend yourself mentally/emotionally/physically over to the government....they tend to make a frankenstein....
