Work is happening at the "green house" on Altamont Ave .. you know, the one that's had 2x8's holding up the front upstairs porch for a couple years now - the property with all the notices taped to the front door.
Not sure what they're doing, but there's pink tape all around the front of it, workers were upstairs, perhaps replacing windows ... seemed to be a beehive of activity today.
I was hoping they'd tear it down, it's an eyesore - but I suppose if they're gonna clean up / fix up, that's ok too.
A year ago I was told by the owners that they had planned it to be done during the summer of '12.

Actually, it appears that the roof from the porch on the upstairs is totally gone this morning, or at least as much of it as would come down by itself. Smelling of renaissance.
Maybe for the resident board cheerleader? Oh, wait, can you imagine what the tax bill will be after it's fixed up.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

They had an article in the paper a couple months back. I thought it was going to be some kind of real estate business. I remember thinking, who the hell would go there.
