The democrats should trick the republicans by registering republican BUT voting democrat.  Then they will be able to get voter ID's because the law will think they are republicans and not deny them an ID.

Good idea......... its almost to easy (rubs hands together)

'your' democrats support a RealID for travel/healthcare/access to services etc etc.....so do you really think they don't support
a voter ID....BOTH parties are all about status quo and where the human cattle can be corralled.....
as for the skin heads getting their hair follicles in a twist over it...they are just as stupid.....

we each all hope we are on the 'right leash'.....

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

From Harry's link:
Fortunately, Alabama recently passed a voter ID law, and as that law goes into effect this year,
it is very likely that we’ll see the above numbers improve.

How many cases of "voter fraud" have been recorded in all of Alabama?
Again, VOTER fraud, not ELECTION fraud.
Quoted Text
Ms. Chapman also raised questions about the possible abuse of absentee ballots. In the election
on June 3, a quarter of the voters here, 1,114, cast absentee ballots, a percentage that is six
times the state average and a figure that Ms. Chapman called “astronomical.” In Jefferson County,
which includes Birmingham and has 60 times Perry County’s population of 10,600, there were 365
absentee ballots.

Fraudulent absentee ballots are almost always ELECTION FRAUD committed by Election officials
who stuff the ballot box with them in advance.
Voter ID Laws have no impact on ELECTION FRAUD.

VOTER FRAUD ALMOST NON EXISTENT!
A new nationwide analysis of 2,068 alleged election-fraud cases since 2000 shows that while
fraud has occurred, the rate is infinitesimal, and in-person voter impersonation on Election
Day, which prompted 37 state legislatures to enact or consider tough voter ID laws, is
virtually non-existent.

In an exhaustive public records search, reporters from the investigative reporting project News21
sent thousands of requests to elections officers in all 50 states, asking for every case of fraudulent
activity including registration fraud, absentee ballot fraud, vote buying, false election counts,
campaign fraud, casting an ineligible vote, voting twice, voter impersonation fraud and intimidation.

Analysis of the resulting comprehensive News21 election
fraud database turned up 10 cases of voter impersonation.
With 146 million registered voters in the United States during that time,
those 10 cases represent one out of about every 15 million prospective voters.

voter fraud is like illegal immigrants according to our elected....same with RealID/passports and the choice between
health insurance or fines.......

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread....but, I do have to ask....if a photo ID is required to sit for the ACT/SAT is that test
suppression?

access to education and voting in the country is DISGUSTING....isn't it Box?

voter suppression cannot possibly occur because one is indoctrinated at the most basic level to believe they are free, IF, they
follow the directions and IF they can prove they are who they are based upon what the system validates you as, INCLUDING
your physical features biometrically and other wise....

gotta love educationally indoctrinated democracy at work

What I find funny is - all company new hires in NYS need a picture ID for their I-9 to get processed before they start work. IT'S THE LAW.  Employee picture ID requirements must be discriminatory too.

Somehow you consider your right to vote dependant on a Govt Issued voter ID.
YOU WANT GOVT INTERVENTION IN YOUR VOTING RIGHTS???
Oh wait... You don't vote so none of this applies to you.

how is being required to show ID when voting any different than being required to have health insurance tracked by
the IRS(via your SS #)

I'd say they are BOTH that personal AND manipulated.....

Somehow you consider my right to private sector employment dependent on a govt. issued ID.  If requiring picture ID suppresses eligible voters, doesn't that same requirement suppress employment?

Neither the American people nor the federal courts would tolerate restrictions of this sort
if they were imposed on free speech, free assembly, freedom of religion, or freedom to
petition government for redress of grievances. For that matter, many Southern states-
-and probably a majority of the Supreme Court--would reject far less onerous restrictions
on the right to "keep and bear arms." Yet each of those rights is mentioned only once in
the Constitution. The "right to vote" is mentioned five times--and yet the Court has
brushed it aside as a privilege that states may observe at their convenience.

What the hell are you talking about?  You have to prove you are 18 years of age to vote.  Where is the outrage?

AND....men/boys must register for 'selective service' which is an oxymoron.....

ID REQUIRED EVERYWHERE.....

1. proof of citizenship
2. proof of paying taxes
3. proof of insurance
4. proof of ownership
5. proof of employment
6. proof of ANYTHING if you want to participate in said civilization and that INCLUDES VOTING

all the above negates a free society

oh Box, I'm glad someone is in charge of our leashes.......

not showing an ID to vote doesn't mean we don't show proof any other way. you still have to prove your address
and that would be with a drivers license of which you can't get without a SS#....you could even use a utility bill,
which you had to prove who you were when you started the account.....

are you a human who is an American citizen? PROVE IT!!!! or you can let your dog/cat vote......as long as they
are of age.
