Sadly that is American money, bought a package of Oreo's today and it came to over 4 dollars, might I add the product is now about 20% smaller than they used to be so you are getting it both ways. This is happening in almost all food products now and they're sneaky in how they do it, take a snickers bar, now they're switching the 1 solid bar to 2 little ones cutting the product down again maybe 20%, they then label it "one for now one for later" like they're doing you a favor when it fact you are getting less product for the same if not more money.

You haven't cut up your PC card yet? There is no such thing as "free gas". You were paying every time you made a purchase. Lord save us from seeing those stunad PC gas commercials. A new low in deceptive advertising. Buy your food at Nisky Co-Op and paper products at ShopRite.

Trust me, it's long gone ... my parents still have one to take advantage of their loss leaders, when she has coupons - but the Co-Op is my store of choice when I'm in the area.

I had PC on my Facebook page to listen to their stupid comments, that's how I found this.

It's called inflation, the value of our money is worth less so the manufacturers of the products pay more for their ingredients plus gas is higher to transport goods and they pass the cost on to us. Keep printing that money Federal Reserve.

to store hop.....

Most of the gas stations that honored this 'gas advantage thingy' were higher priced on gas than the others who didn't offer it. We prefer shop rite and bjs. So for price chopper to discontinue it doesn't effect us one way or the other.

According to the Altamont Ave pharmacist last night, effective 5/13 Prescriptions won't be credited (AT ALL)  as purchases toward "Fuel Advantage" either.

They're gonna lose customers over these decisions I bet.

Even though there are some price chopper loyalists...........I too believe that they will be losing customers. They already are with shop rite's gang buster move!!
On 1300 radio this morning, vandenburg was interviewing the CHEF at the new shop rite in albany. He is a high end chef that has been employed at the high end restaurants. They make their food from scratch....he says. They 'wait' on the folks like they are in a restaurant. And their prices beat price chopper hands down. Even before shop rite moved in, price chopper's prices were HIGH!! Folks were leaving to go to Hannaford.

Shop rite will give all the other markets a run for their money for sure!

Ain't competition great?

I thought there was some regulation where they couldn't before anyway.  I never go there for prescriptions, considering the distance, but I didn't think that would have counted.  Does it?

Price Chopper offered a "fuel advantage" promotion, and the promotion is being phased out.  Why is this news???

Like any business, especially supermarkets, they face competition every day to keep or grow their customer base.

Probably because people found a way to overpay for their groceries so we wouldn't have to pay the prices that the big oil execs who run this country keep artificially inflated.  This is why we voted for Obama 4 years ago, so he would bring oil prices down, right?  How'd that work for ya?

So far it's worked quite well.  The price of gasoline still hasn't hit the all time forever US RECORD HIGH OF THE
George Worst Bush YEARS.

I heard about the regulation, but since I've been back here, they've counted.

And yes, I usually shop scripts at Walmart or CVS ... but I hate the walmart pharmacies here (slow, disorganized) - and well, I don't shop in the city - or at 5 corners, and since yall won't allow CVS to open at 4 corners, well, I had no other choice.
