Effective May 13, you need to spend $100 to get that 10cents off per gallon!

Time to shop the Nisky Co-Op and Shop Rite 100% of the time!

I guess they're feeling the heat from Shop Rite and the Co-Op ... "lowering" already too high prices, just so they can advertise a "sale".

Maybe since we're their hometown, they'll do something different? First expiration dates on it, now a higher amount you have to spend to get it?  Good timing, considering gas prices are starting to come down.  Must be an election year, but wait, we don't have a BIG OIL guy in the White House, so what gives?

True, and prices are always higher at Price Chopper.  I decided that I wouldn't shop just so I could get the savings.  In fact, I just filled up after saving up my savings for a while, and since they were going to expire at the end of the month.  Filled up with regular gas at the same price I could have paid for E85 other places.  I hope the difference gets charged back to Price Chopper.  They have to have some sort of agreement.  Might be too much out of pocket for them.  They need to realize that it's too much out of pocket for all of us.

I made out well using the Price Chopper gas discount.  I often shop their store anyway, so the gas discount was
just an added bonus.
The way to take the most advantage of their discount is to buy a full 20 gallons when you use the discount
card.  Many cars only hold 12 or 14 gallons when completely empty, so I would wait till I had an almost empty
tank, then bring a 6 and a 5 gallon container to be sure I got the full 20 gallons worth.

Like most grocery store promotions I expected this one to end long ago.  I'm surprised they kept it going
this long.

if you understand anything about profit ...you would understand that anything they give you

is in the price of something else...that's why   buy 1   get 2 free    is a joke.....go to Hannaford

and see real savings...and no gimmicks..

Precisely.
The day that promotion started I thought, well, neither Price Chopper, and most certainly not Sunoco are in the habit of giving anything away for free, so if anything, the overall prices are going to be higher, as they factor in transaction cost between the two, promotional costs (there were an AWFUL lot of TV and print ads), and just all the accounting expenses in general.

"buy 1  get 2 free   is a joke"
Again, agreed, but the result is far from funny.
I was in Price Chopper last week, and they had a buy 1 get 2 free on English muffins.
"Not bad", I thought, until I looked at the price of single pack of English muffins. $4.29!!!
Are you serious? $4.29 for a pack of English muffins?
How much is that in AMERICAN money?

That's about $1.44 per pack.

It's the same price ($4.29) if you only want one, and don't notice the sale(the offer is only at a display up front, not the bread isle), or don't have a PC card.

What if you live alone and don't want 3 packs?

You haven't cut up your PC card yet? There is no such thing as "free gas". You were paying every time you made a purchase. Lord save us from seeing those stunad PC gas commercials. A new low in deceptive advertising. Buy your food at Nisky Co-Op and paper products at ShopRite.

Sadly that is American money, bought a package of Oreo's today and it came to over 4 dollars, might I add the product is now about 20% smaller than they used to be so you are getting it both ways. This is happening in almost all food products now and they're sneaky in how they do it, take a snickers bar, now they're switching the 1 solid bar to 2 little ones cutting the product down again maybe 20%, they then label it "one for now one for later" like they're doing you a favor when it fact you are getting less product for the same if not more money.
