THIS IS A REMINDER OF THE UPCOMING MEETING MONDAY NIGHT @7:30 AT THE ROTTERDAM SENIOR CENTER, APRIL 9TH
This meeting is hosted by the Hamburg Street Merchants and the Rotterdam Business Association.
The Rotterdam Town Board is our guest speakers. The Schenectady District 4 Legislatures have also been invited to attend.
The Merchants have submitted the following questions to the board 2 weeks ago as to what we plan on asking them for updates: 1.TIP Grant Update 2. a. Metroplex money to Town- How much received this year and will any be used for economic development b. IDA money approximately $175,000 returned to Town. Will this be set aside for economic development 3. Would you consider hiring an Economic Development Specialist for the Town 4.Former Draper School-DAV housing update 5.Plans for Hamburg Street 6. Justice Center-Police Dept/Court House 7. Town’s progress with GE relations 8.Curry Road Plaza update 9. Four Corners CVS update 10. Five Corners Roundabout update 11. Rotterdam Junction- FEMA update

Alright it'a a meeting of a merchants group and a business group. What about the taxpayers who largely foot the bill for these projects. And often have to pay extra costs.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
