If you can perpetuate adolescence and stunt psychological and emotional maturity you can create a generation of emotionally immature citizens that have a natural dependency on government for their care. Obamacare covers "children" until the age of 26!!! They need to keep people as young and dumb for as long as possible.
If you can perpetuate adolescence and stunt psychological and emotional maturity you can create a generation of emotionally immature citizens known as Tea Partiers and Nayboobs.

This comes from a middle aged man who lives in his aunt's basement and spends all his spare time at Town Hall. You are living proof of the success of systemic arrested development.
And when things really get tough..........ya know, when their MTV/AMERICAN IDOL/JERSEY SHORE tv show is canceled.....OR when their favorite sneakers are out of stock at the shoe store.......OR when they lose their cell phone connection..........there is always xanax!!!!!

For the record - I have never endorsed, promoted or supported such bans. Personally, I have never had a very high opinion of our State Education Department. We could shut down the whole place and actually use the money we spend on their salaries to actually educate the children of our state or to cut state taxes..

I disagree with you DemocraticVoiceOfReason! Once again you are spewing bad policy ideas and I will have to admit that laying off HUNDREDS of fine State Employees with our economy suffering from a recession -- is an idea that you need to revisit..

Dv is talking to himself again. He has to TRY to prove the two are the same person, especially since I provided THE EVIDENCE that I am NOT "Parent."
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Now who believes what he says? Words coming from someone who doesn't even know where he went to school?
And lies about where he, uh, "works"
.

Have you ever worked in the public education system? If you had, you'd know that the State Education Department is a bloated bureaucracy that has caused more problems than it has solved. For all of the "education reforms" that they have pushed over the years, there is no discernable record of actually improving student outcomes.
I would much rather have the state spend that money DIRECTLY on educating students rather than continuing that bureaucratic maze they call the S.E.D. Besides - all the employees at the S.E.D. with teaching credentials could apply for jobs in the public school system --- if they are good teachers, they'd be much more useful and productive in the classroom than sitting in an office in Albany.

The SED, with all of it's 'union' flaws.........might just be more efficient if the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION would stay out of the state's business!!! Talk about a bloated piece of wasted bureaucracy!!!!
