To be convicted, he first had to be charged with a crime. If there was no publicity or no outrage about this killing, he would have walked... with no trial, no bail, no nuttin' His only encounter with the law, would have been from the local cops who let him walk.

Yes I am happy about JUSTICE in this case. I don't know if Zimmerman will be found innocent or guilty... that's up to the jury. But Martin's killing will now have a day in court to determine the facts and weather Zimmerman is guilty of murder, or just defending himself.
Either way, I'm satisfied that the court will find justice for both men.

justice has not occured in this case, only charges and arrest. Personally, I think unless they allow the jury to consider lesser charges, i see the same trap that california fell into when charging the officers who beat rodney king. i cant see how a fair trial can be held in sanford/orlando, more likely north florida. but if they dont grant a change of venue then the fix is in. you might as well skip the trial. The trial will be conducted on the evidence at hand. The jury will find guilty or not by the evidence presented. Violence by blacks or by whites will have nothing to do with the outcome of the trial. The only place violence will be an issue is on the Extremes of the Right and the Extremes of the Left... White haters and Black haters.
