The quake was felt strongly in southern Guerrero state, where the epicenter was located about 15 miles (25 kilometers) from the city of Ometepec. Neighboring Oaxaca state also shook heavily, including two aftershocks.
“In light of today’s earthquake, we can confirm that Malia Obama is safe and was never in danger,” Kristina Schake, communications director to Michelle Obama, told CBS Houston. ”We would reiterate our request that the media respect the privacy and security of the Obama children and not report on or photograph the girls when they are not with their parents.”
The USGS warns there could be widespread damage from the quake.
“You can definitely have some pretty significant damage for the region,” USGS geophysicist Julie Dutton told CBS Houston, adding they have seen aftershocks in the 5.0-magnitude range since the initial quake.

Wouldn't go that far. A much reduced risk I'll go with. The Cartels are well armed,VERY ruthless, motivated, and trained well enough to effectively neutralize anything the Mexican government has thrown at them.

Last time I checked, Hyannis Port MA is located in the U.S and is pretty much 'home base' for the Kennedy's. It's not a warzone and isn't located in a foreign nation.

witnessed some unpleasant scenes played out.....and in the desert...as an onlooker who happened on the scene....with the Mexicans crossing the border..
In Mexico a few times and very upset at the scenes of poverty and gangs.....not interested in going back anytime soon.
And so far as the Kennedy Compound ....it wasn't as ignored or safe as you think it may have been...the Kennedys kept the

Drudge Report is making a big deal today about how the White House had asked U.S. media organizations to not cover Malia Obama‘s Spring Break trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. A search through TVEyes shows no U.S. TV network has covered the pre-teen’s trip. Politico reports several websites have scrubbed stories about the trip from their websites after being asked to do so. A White House spokesperson says:
