The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. John Kenneth Galbraith
George JerkLak-off,a prof at UC Berkeley with a negative view of conservatives...yawn.... Being member of a socialist party tells me enough... He has written two books, which would be great toilet paper for our outhouse at camp.
I'd love to see how he describes Libertarians...oh snap, that's a 3rd world view...he should write another book, I need firestarter,
"Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock out the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it is victorious." - Author Unknown
WOW! A SUCCESS! Two of the worst offenders actually had to hear something new... a different point of view... and their heads didn't explode in the process!

I listened, I realized it was a hit piece aimed at Dobsen, it lost all objectivity at that point and I turned it off. I should have known.

Hey Boxy...maybe you should take your own advice...then maybe you'd learn that the real world isn't divided into liberal and conservative halves...
Jerkoff, excuse me, Lakoff lists things that the "father figure family" believes, things like owning machine guns, which I am against, and being against environmental regs, which I am not... sort of blows his two world view theory out of the water. But that is what you get when you study all of your life instead of actually doing something productive... Maybe if he left the ivory tower of Academia, he'd realize the world isn't so black and white.

Aimed at Dobson??? Really??? Is that all you got out of the piece???
The video shows opposing views of government... Dobson is barely an issue. Again, you only seem to accept what facts fit your agenda, and miss the rest. I didn't expect to convince anyone with the video, just to show that there are other valid views besides the Right... But you missed it! (Why am I not surprised)

It’s barely an issue? He talked about Dobsen's focus on the family like it was the conservative's guide to parenting. His whole argument was based off of Dobsen's organization and teachings. His liberal argument was based off of some grand philosophy bestowed upon liberals by some liberal god. It was an argument between James Dobsen family teaching and some liberal parenting philosophy that we don't know who developed it.
