On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill to the full House that would ban abortions
after 20 weeks of pregnancy in Washington DC. The vote was along party lines with Republicans voting
for it, while Democrats voted against it. The bill has severe consequences for women’s health in the DC
area, such as the fact that there are no exceptions for rape or incest, and no exceptions for when the
life of the mother is in jeopardy. In other words, Republicans want to force raped women in DC to give
birth to their rapist’s baby, and would rather women die giving birth instead of allowing abortion to be
a viable medical option.

Not all Republicans are that way.  By the way, the Democrats still control the Senate, so you should be fine.  The law should be up to the District of Columbia to make a decision on, as well as each of the 50 states on their own, since the Federal Government should have no decision making abilities over this.

ALL Republicans voted for the DC law... All Democrats voted against it.
BTW
DC’s sole congressional representative, Eleanor Holmes Norton, opposes the measure—but Rep.
Trent Franks, the Republican sponsor, refused to allow her to testify at a subcommittee hearing.

Just like civil rights and civil liberties... this issue should be federal.

deliver the baby and when it's 2 years old kill it....it seems to be the norm today....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Ahhhhh Yes....More of Box's efforts to "educate" people of the benefits of the new and imporved fascist medicine.

I love the description - "no-cost" coverage.  No cost to who?  Good thing the American idiot doesn't understand basic economics.

Nice propaganda piece box.  A majority of idiots will regurgitate this like they have been conditioned to.  It has nice big pictures and simple wording, which makes it very easy to pass along to the rest of the dummies.

There are a few American women who will appreciate this part of ObamaCare that comes online tomorrow,
Aug 1.
Those women who's present health insurance doesn't cover:
~ Gestational Diabetes screening... will now likely prevent getting diabetes...
~ Testing for HPV, who won't get uterine or cervical cancer because of early screening for HPV.
~ Testing for STD's and especially HIV... who may in the future have a baby because of testing and
treatment for STD's.
~ the list goes on to cover domestic violence, contraceptive and beast feeding support.

For the women who's health was improved, or who will now live instead of die for lack of early screening...
Thank You President Barack Hussein Obama!

LOL!!! Now on to fear mongering.  "We need to force ALL Americans to buy corporate health insurance to save lives"(While insurance executive get filthy rich).

Thank Barack Hussein Obama for skillfully articulating the lies.  Thank the public school system for dumbing down Americans to believe the lies.  Then thank the rest of productive class for paying for your medical services.

This legislation that starts tomorrow will not force anyone to buy anything.  It will however, help women to
take care of their health and possibly avoid a preventable illness or death.

So, if no one has to buy anything, and these services are going to be provided, who is paying for them?  The person paying for them would be the one buying them, right?  So, if it's not the patient themselves, at the time of purchase, paying the bill, who is???

As with all insurance, there are minimums, maximums deductibles and co pays...
Some of the insurance that we buy has minimum standards... such as a minimum liability on everyone's car
insurance. Similarly, health insurance which has had many mandated coverage over the years now has
a few more, to meet the changing needs of it's customers.
One example:
HPV screening.  A fairly recent discovery that the Human papillomavirus causes cancer in women changed
the needs of a gyno exam.  Updating coverage for screening and treatment is now a standard precaution,
as is a blood test or a blood pressure for a physical.

Testing and treating HPV can help eliminate the virus in the total population... especially in the late teen
early 20 age group.

HPV is a group of viruses that includes more than 100 different strains or types. More than 30 of these
viruses are sexually transmitted, and they can infect the genital area of men and women. HPV is one
of the most common causes of sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the world.

Now that you tried to change the subject, the question remains.  Who pays the deductible / copays?  Who pays the insurance premium (usually ends up more than the deductible / copays)?  If it's free to you, then someone else is paying it.

WHO?????

I thought it was understood... when you BUY insurance you PAY for the services provided.  The consumer
will pay for the added cost of increased coverage.  The cost of some insurance coverage is actually a
plus to consumers.  Insurance provided Birth Control coverage  for example... will add the expense of
the cost of the pills, but overall that coverage will reduce the cost to the insurance company.  Birth
control is way cheaper than paying for prenatal, birth and baby care.

The HPV coverage may be a similar example.  If early detection and treatment of HPV leads to a reduction
of Americans with HPV, then the resulting reduction of HPV cancers will more than pay for the cost of
screening and treatment.
