BT, i used to be a stern fan when i was younger.  One of the things in his movie and on his show he used to talk about, was that their research showed that people who hated him but tuned in would listen to his show for longer periods then his actual fans.  After all negative attention is still attention.  not really much of a shocker, he's just a shock jock and not really a political annalyst.  Just like Bill O'Riley is just putting on a show and in reality doesn't believe alot of what he says (he says so himself in interviews).

I know that to be true. I forget what the concept is called though.
I heard that people were tuning into Rush, just to see if there was really dead air where the commercials used to be.

US Army Bails Out On Druggy Rush!

A memo being circulated by the distribution company behind Republican shock jock Rush Limbaugh has
revealed a massive flight from Limbaugh’s program in the wake of his offensive comments about a Georgetown
law student.

The companies include major corporate players like Sony, British Petroleum, McDonald’s, NBC, Toyota,
Subway, Lowes, Autozone, Geico, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, State Farm, IBM and many others.

And in a surprise reveal, it appears that the U.S. Army is among them.

The funny thing is Maher and Schultz can call Sarah Palin a c&nt there is no clamor for them to be fired...
Because the ones that object to that actually believe in free speech instead of have it be just a talking point.

BTW, I thought Steinem was dead...

America is angry at El Drugo, and want him gone.  Personally I don't want him fired, I'd rather he slowly fade from
view as an example of what a lifetime of Hate leaves behind...  A pathetic excuse for a human being.

But America doesn't own Premiere networks...I think Rush survives this, partially because he started from the extreme right wing side anyway, so , its not like its unexpected behavior.... and he has plenty of listeners who don't care and support his views.

He's been calling Feminists Feminazis since the mid 90's...There's only one reason this particular event is an issue...its an election year.

The sponsors left a good market for their products... BECAUSE IT IS AN ELECTION YEAR???
Rush is popular with one segment of our society because they agree with his misogynistic, racist hate.
They cheer his hate and support his bigotry... they only wish they had the forum to spout insults at
women they way The Drugged One does.

You just summed it up in a nutshell here!!! It's too bad that the lefty crazies can't tell the difference between rhetoric and truth!

indirectly...ABSOLUTELY! The media played the clip over and over again until it caught fire, it got attention of people who don't even listen to his show and then got attention of the advertisers.
I guarantee you in 20 + years of his show, he has said something more inflammatory than this, and it wasn't covered like this...why?

That's easy... Rhetoric is what Rush spouts daily...
~Rhetoric along with  lies, insults, hate, propaganda... etc.
~Truth has always been banned from Rush's show.

Drugged GOP leader Rush Limbaugh is so desperate for paid advertisers, since losing
over 140 of them, that he's considering ads from...
