This debate on who said what and who gets a pass with what is a moot point.....period. The simple fact is that this is what society as a whole has become today. Society has reverted back to elementary school where name calling is king!!
We can see the proof right here on this forum. It's just a little funny watching who is calling the kettle black.

In a shocking show of hypocrisy, Democrats who have been attacking Republicans for there “war on women” and condemning Rush Limbaugh for his comments about Sanda Fluke refused to condemn the ugly, offensive language comedian Bill Maher used in describing Sarah Palin as a “c-nt.” Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee both smile and decline repeatedly to answer the question.
Druggy Rush has apologized to Sandra Fluke for his insult of calling her a 'slut' and a 'prostitute'... but that was ONE APOLOGY and the insults continued for days against Ms Fluke.
By my count, Rush Loudmouth still owes Ms Fluke about 60 or 70 more apologies!

Alias, this hypocritical wanna be comedian rules the Republican party. Several times in past years, politicians have spoken out against Druggy Rush... only to be followed by an apology. Rush can make or break a Republican candidate, both with personal attacks or behind the scenes power to eliminate or increase political donations of others.

I think box just creamed in his pants on that post.
The Attorney General just announced the President can order assassinations against U.S. citizens without due process, and we are talking about an entertainer's comments directed at an activist.
I think it is safe to declare America officially brain dead, somebody pull the plug.

My post was a response to Alias's post #21, concerning: "who cares about Rush".
The rest is a typical Cicero's rant.

Wonder why?....It couldn't be that Mahr know that the longer this goes on it will backlash on him as well. Well that and he just gave $1M to Obama's super-PAC

Rush "owes" her nothing... just like the guy that called Laura Ingram a slut owes her nothing

One Point on the entire Druggy Rush/Sandra Fluke story.
Sandra Fluke was a "civilian" in a war of politicians. She was to testify on an issue before congress, much like many who were there on both sides of the contraceptive insurance coverage debate.
Politicians, actors, comedians, political pundits, journalists... are all in the public eye. They are every day soldiers in a war of (mostly) words about America.
Attacking a "civilian" in this war is different than attacking GWB, Obama, Jon Stewart, Colbert, George Will etc. I look at the children of politicians in the same way, as civilians in a war, that hold a different status than the rest of the political army.
Rhetorically, Rush a general in this war, shot a civilian.
IMO, America turned against Rush partly for this reason.

She's not a "civilian", she's a POLITICAL activist trying to influence public policy. She demanded attention for her cause, and she received attention for her cause. She didn't testify in front of congress without a politician and political party authorizing it. Any Joe Blow off the street can't just show up at the capitol building and demand they be heard by a congressional committee. It's the media that is trying to turn her into some unsuspecting innocent victim that never wanted to enter the arena of public debate.
