Wrong again Box...
Joy, and the other columnist posted this headline
Rush’s syndicator suspends all station ad requirements for two weeks
you posted
Rush Limbaugh Syndicator Suspends National Ads For Two Weeks
You see that little word requirements in Joys Headline?
Do you see that word in yours? Or maybe its in an invisible font?
The word requirements is key. That pertains to the barter ads the article was talking about.
But Premiere clearly states that in program ads are not included. You read the article and posted your headline anyway.

And as I posted above... A headline is a SUMMARY of the following text, not the complete story,
the detailed text follows the headline:
Definition, Headline:
headline
— n
1.      a. a phrase at the top of a newspaper or magazine article indicating the subject of the article,
usually in larger and heavier type
2.     ( usually plural ) the main points of a news broadcast, read out before the
full broadcast and summarized at the end

" I do believe conservative radio lost listeners, but not enough for cancellation."

That's now how radio works... Listeners don't bring in one dime to support Rush's drug habit.  Ratings determine how much you can charge advertisers for their time slot... BUT THE DOLLARS COME FROM THE CORPORATIONS WHO BUY THOSE ADS.
Look at how many corporations have dumped Druggy Rush... Not some little unknown advertisers, but big
name, big dollars advertisers...
(Maybe even a few that Cic has heard of)!

They won't buy ads at the rate they were charging during Rush's show.  If he goes from 5 million to 4 million listeners, businesses will certainly be interested in reaching those 4 million.  The rates will be renegotiated and a 30 second ad will adjust to reflect the ratings.  These businesses are leveraging this opportunity for better rates, as well as good PR for people like you who are cumming in your pants because you think they are punishing your devil for calling some activist a slut.  Rush has always been a lightning rod and offended people on the left.  Advertisers have always known this, but they aren't trying to reach a liberal demographic.  This is business, this is PR.

Bottom line...

Your headline was NOT exactly the same as Joys (even though you stated so)
Her headline can be deemed as accurate

Yours cannot because of Premiere stating they are not including in-program ads (which ARE national) in their suspension.

It isn't much more complicated than that....

Its OK, everyone knows you were wrong, it happens to all of us.

I'm sure your journalist prowess is renowned in your mind, but for the rest of us... not so much.

Be sure to contact "Think Progress", a major political blog and tell them of their awful mistake as well...
Their Headline...

BREAKING: Rush Limbaugh Syndicator Suspends National Ads For Two Weeks
Their text:
Radio-Info.com reports that Premiere Networks, which syndicates the Rush Limbaugh show, told its
affiliate radio stations that they are suspending national advertising for two weeks.

I'm sure they will be so embarrassed when you inform them of their terrible journalistic faux pas!   ;

Be sure to contact MSNBC and Lawrence O'Donnell who also used the term...
"Suspending National Advertising for two weeks."

According to industry trade papers, it's true, and the headline is correct.

Rush Limbaugh Takes Monday Off; Premiere Networks Suspends Airing of Barter Spots for Two Weeks.  Things are quieting down with regard to the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy but El Rushbo took yesterday (3/12) off to play golf with regular fill-in Mark Steyn sitting in the host’s chair.  Public relations and crisis management expert Brian Glicklich is working with Limbaugh’s team and it sounds as though the day off was probably his idea.  At the same time, Premiere Networks issued a memo to traffic departments at news/talk affiliates and is suspending the requirement that stations run barter spots – the ones that air in addition to the network spots actually contained within Limbaugh’s and other Premiere shows – for this week and next.  Premiere gives no reason for this but one could surmise it doesn’t want to have any clients’ spots air within “controversial programming” and a cool down period like this will allow it to get a handle on where these spots are to air and where they should not.

Suspending "The Requirement", is a temporary adjustment to the contract.
The affiliates will not recieve consideration for the spots, so don't expect to hear them running.

"The Requirement"
Exactly...which I have never contested...

Poor Box, just like the DNC and RNC, he tries to spin his way out of a mistake instead of admitting it

A majority of Americans think Rush Limbaugh should be fired for his comments about Sandra Fluke and contraception,
according to a Bloomberg poll released on Wednesday.

It follows another poll on Tuesday which found that just 29 percent of respondents thought his subsequent
apology to Fluke was sincere. It also comes as advertisers continue to pull out of his show in droves.

The Bloomberg survey showed 53 percent of respondents saying that Limbaugh should be fired "solely" for
his comments about Fluke. Men were almost evenly split 49-47 percent on the question, but women came
down strongly for Limbaugh's dismissal, with 56 percent calling for his ouster and 39 percent saying he
should stay. Moreover, almost a third of Republicans wanted him gone.

Fire him for what because people disagree with him, because he isn't PC, because he offended someone? I don't like Rush but if people have a problem with him then don't listen to him or boycott his sponsors, if the majority of Americans want him fired like this poll suggest then don't give him the ratings to continue.
