How is it any better when libs do the exact same thing when they ignore the fraud and cheating like it doesn't exist?

Again, that Conservative brain malfunction that keeps them from discussing poverty with out discussing
welfare cheats.

Tbird... If you go way back to post #36 you will read:

Tbird.
I see the same thing that you do.  People posing as poor to milk the system for every dime.  So since we both
agree that that group is NOT poor...

I DID acknowledge that fraud and cheating DOES EXIST... you seem unable to get away from that point and
move on (as I posted above) to actual poverty.

I'll tell you a true story about members of my own family (in laws)..
The husband hasn't worked in 30 years because of a "permanent disability" workman's comp claim he submitted. He can't work, but he can hunt (with a powerbow), do stuff under the table,  etc.
His wife CHOSE to work a seasonal job for over 20 years knowing she would be laid off for approximately 3 months  and collected unemployment until work started again... she did that for 25 years. All the while, they got rental assistance and heat assistance. Other than not owning their own house, having one late model car instead of two, and taking vacations... THEY LIVE NO DIFFERENT THAN MY FAMILY DOES...Cable, electronics, cell phones, internet access, etc.
How is that right? This kind of thing is commonplace, but some people choose to ignore it.
Why don't I turn them in? They are family. Would I feel bad if they did get caught? no...
Honestly, if someone did turn them in, they could only do it on the workmans comp thing, and not the CHOICE to work part time.
I doubt anything bad would happen to them.

(sigh) Once again... the cheats exist... we've all posted that.  IT DOES EXIST...
BUT
You are stuck on that issue... and can't bring yourself to discuss anyone who actually is poor...
ONLY THE CHEATS!
(Must be some kind of Conservative Genetic Disease)

It doesn't.

So you agree it would be better if the single mom making $400 a week kept the $30 the government takes from her?  Maybe it would help her with those tough financial decision you pointed out in your earlier post.  But, hey, if she makes it to 67 years old, and by then she worked her way out of poverty, she can look forward to getting the money back at a deminished rate and return to poverty.  It's a great deal, as a matter of fact, it's the NEW DEAL.

Sigh all you want.. I'll do it for you.... sigh...sigh...

YOU seem to have some sort of Liberal Diarrhea so
maybe ALL CAPS WILL HELP....

YOU CANNOT DISCUSS A TOPIC WITHOUT CONSIDERING ALL SIDES OF IT. YOU MAKE A CASUAL MENTION OF CHEATERS AND ABUSERS AND THEN YOU PUT YOUR DNC/LIBERAL GLASSES ON AND TALK ABOUT NOTHING BUT HOWS ITS SO BAD FOR THE POOR, WE NEED MORE MONEY, PUSH BUTTON AGAIN FOR SAME RESPONSE.
MAYBE WE WOULDN'T MORE MONEY IF WE GOT SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T BELONG ON THE PUBLIC TEET.

No.

I answered your question:
Q. ...Ok box, so explain again how the federal government taking 7.65% of the poor's weekly pay helps them
get out of poverty?

A. It doesn't.

What follows is Cic's version of what he'd like me to believe, and has nothing to do with my answer or his
question.

While we concentrate on the Buffetts of the world not paying their fair share, maybe we should look at this..
And we wonder why we have a revenue and spending problem.

What percent of their income should a student with no income pay???
He/she pays none.  So add them to your list.
What percent of their income should a senior with only SS for income???
Usually they pay no tax.
What percent of their income should the disabled, and mentally ill with no income pay???
Again... no income... no tax.
What percent of their income should the unemployed pay?
Nothing to tax.

the list goes on, but when a billionaire pays no tax... THIS BOARD APPLAUDS AND WORKS HARD TO MAKE SURE
HE WILL NEVER PAY ANY TAX!
Amazing!

Want a bigger return from your investment?
Vote For A Democrat In The White House!!!

While Republicans promote themselves as the friendliest party for Wall Street, stock investors do better when
Democrats occupy the White House. From a dollars- and-cents standpoint, it’s not even close.
The BGOV Barometer shows that, over the five decades since John F. Kennedy was inaugurated, $1,000 invested
in a hypothetical fund that tracks the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (SPX) only when Democrats are in the
White House would have been worth $10,920 at the close of trading yesterday.
That’s more than nine times the dollar return an investor would have realized from following a similar strategy
during Republican administrations. A $1,000 stake invested in a fund that followed the S&P 500 under
Republican presidents, starting with Richard Nixon, would have grown to $2,087 on the day George W. Bush
left office.
$10,920 with Democrats...
$2,087 with Republicans!

So, retired people, students, unemployed, and the disabled make up the 49% percent? There should be no unemployment problem. In my post, I covered both sides, the ones who should pay more and the ones that should pay SOMETHING...

Box, you are nothing but consistent.. Look at an issue with your DNC glasses and ignore the rest of the picture.

Spending problem? tax the rich
revenue problem? tax the rich
People can't retire? tax the rich
Medicare fraud? tax the rich
Welfare fraud? tax the rich
49.5% of the population not paying fed income taxes? Tax the rich
Your car broke down? tax the rich
You're constipated? tax the rich

When Tbird speaks for me...he gets it wrong.

Spending problem? tax the rich
revenue problem? tax the rich (YES)
People can't retire? tax the rich
Medicare fraud? tax the rich
Welfare fraud? tax the rich
49.5% of the population not paying fed income taxes? Tax the rich (Put the unemployed to work)
Your car broke down? tax the rich
You're constipated? tax the rich... Not my problem... but a good dump on this message board might add
to the total IQ!

(When you're a Conservative and hate the facts... throw up enough smoke and some how others will not see
that your full of BS.)
Lets take Tbirds list of BS and eliminate those lines that have nothing to do with what he is actually discussing:

Spending problem? Reduce spending where applicable.
revenue problem? Increase revenue by tax increases, increasing the number of people with jobs, thus increase
tax revenue

People can't retire?  Has nothing to do with this post.
Medicare fraud? Like all fraud that involves taxpayer dollars... fraud steals our tax dollars.
Welfare fraud? See above.
49.5% of the population not paying fed income taxes? What % were paying taxes when Clinton was president
and the country prospered?
Your car broke down? Tbird BS
You're constipated? More Tbird BS that has nothing to do with the issue... just adds a diversion from the facts.

Taxing the rich, and those billionaires and millionaires who pay no taxes will add revenue.  Anyone disagree???

Boxy says....

When Tbird speaks for me...he gets it wrong right. Just about anyone can see that

(When you're a conservative liberal and hate the facts rich... throw up enough smoke and some how others will not see
that your full of BS.)
Lets take Tbirds Boxys list of BS:

Spending problem? Reduce spending where applicable. How are you going to do that without hitting your trifecta in programs that make up more than half of the budget? (medicare, medicaid, SS, other entitlement) In reality, Box BS

revenue problem? Increase revenue by tax increases, increasing the number of people with jobs, thus increase
tax revenue How, by waving a magic wand? Introducing laws requiring businesses to hire people, or pump up the deficit with more "shovel ready" jobs (stimulus)?

People can't retire?  Has nothing to do with this post. Really? read the subject of this thread

Medicare fraud? Like all fraud that involves taxpayer dollars... fraud steals our tax dollars. In other words, ignore it

Welfare fraud? See above. rinse and repeat

49.5% of the population not paying fed income taxes? What % were paying taxes when Clinton was president
and the country prospered? A lot more than now and it wasn't the end of the world...btw, thanks for proving my point

Taxing the rich, and those billionaires and millionaires who pay no taxes will add revenue.  Anyone disagree??? We could cut the Pentagon budget by 50% and tax the rich at 50% tomorrow and we STILL couldn't balance the budget ...taxing the rich will add more revenue, and the Congress will just spend it, not pay down the debt and keep printing money...something most of us can't do...so, how does it solve our budget issues?
The ONLY reason we are not in the same spot as Greece is we hold the reserve currency..but what the heck, lets just kick the can down the road

Lets just triple spending and triple taxes. All will be good, I am sure. If a little increase is good, a LOT of increase is better. Do that in your households too (Oh I forgot the lower stupid classes of ignorant peasants already do.)

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
