Ford to Add 7,000 U.S. Jobs in Next Two YearsFord Motor Co. Chief Executive Officer Alan Mulally reiterated the automaker’s plan to add 7,000 jobs over the next two years in the U.S. as it expects the world’s largest economy to avoid another recession. Ford announced Jan. 10 plans to hire 4,000 factory workers and 750 engineers this year and 2,500 hourly workers next year. Some of the hiring was to support Ford’s development of battery- powered cars, the company said at the time. The automaker is now looking for new ways to expand employment “We are actually going to add nearly 7,000 new jobs in the U.S. over the next two years". Great news, Box. Now, can you start to find any news stories about addition of jobs here in New York State? Even GE, who started here in Schenectady refuses to add the new jobs here, they would rather go somewhere that is more business-friendly, Kentucky. |

No one adds jobs in Schenectady... RIGHT? If they do... DON"T TELL ANY ONE. IT WILL RUIN OUR IMAGE! General Electric Co. needs to fill 195 Capital Region jobs—and the company will hold job fairs this week to find candidates. The GE (NYSE: GE) openings are at facilities in Schenectady, Niskayuna and North Greenbush. The positions range from entry-level production to business development, software engineers, technicians and mechanical engineers. About 100 of the openings are at the GE Energy manufacturing plants in Schenectady. November 2011 Business review. |

Wow, 100 jobs. Now that's wonderful. And I mean it. I mean, really, we haven't lost more jobs than that by companies pulling out, right? |

A drug store in Schenectady had a slight increase in customers in the last 2 months... They are increasing hours for their employees... One job will be created... ... no story on this board... no headline... no posts... just more negativity. |
