So let me get this straight taking the morning after pill which is designed to be taken once, is gonna lead to cancer, lol. OK, if it fits your narrative. Why no outrage about fast food, cafeine, prescription drugs, cell phones, etc causing cancer. That's because they don't deal with dirty sex..... I also like the hypocracy of the same people that want the government of their back, bashing birth control's side effects. Guess sometimes you want the government on our backs, pic and choose wisely
Come on.....you seem smarter then this. There have been many medications that have been recalled or questioned years if not decades later for health issues that arise later in life. Not to mention the many side effects of present meds. Cell phones have always been an issue....but try to break down that global billion dollar corporate wall!!!! Look at the folks who believe and are researching the possibility of vaccines causing autism.
It would be refreshing if the masses became more pro-active when their doctor is ready to throw a pill at them! It is about time that questions are asked 'before' taking anything instead of waiting 50 years.
As far as this 'morning after' pill..........I don't support anything given to kids without their parent's consent.
When the INSANE are running the ASYLUM In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. -- Friedrich Nietzsche

Bumble I'd rather see a young girl take this than have an abortion or a kid at a super young age. Most girls won't go to their parents because they don't want to be chastized, at the point they do it is too late and they are left with either baby or abortion.

the pill does spontaneous abortion....it doesn't 'select' the 'when'....it doesn't enter your body with a clock and direction booklet

Implantation
Within 24-hours after fertilization, the egg begins dividing rapidly into many cells. It remains in the fallopian tube for about three days. The fertilized egg (called a zygote) continues to divide as it passes slowly through the fallopian tube to the uterus where its next job is to attach to the endometrium (a process called implantation). First the zygote becomes a solid ball of cells, then it becomes a hollow ball of cells called a blastocyst. Before implantation, the blastocyst breaks out of its protective covering. When the blastocyst establishes contact with the endometrium, an exchange of hormones helps the blastocyst attach. Some women notice spotting (or slight bleeding) for one or two days around the time of implantation. The endometrium becomes thicker and the cervix is sealed by a plug of mucus.
I really dont care if anyone calls it a baby/embryo/blastocyst/cell clump etc...the fact is that the morning after pill has replaced the 'natural abortions' performed over the millenia by women all over the world before the world became so urban/civilized and folks were 'removed from the land', so to speak,,,,,,it is an abortion after taking this pill.....and $$$$$$ drives it.... no land = ignorance

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

the hippocracy is that the women get the chemicals inside along with the infected sperm inside.....
haven't seen a 'friendly' birth control chemical for the sperms in the testicles......I wonder why? because to prevent pregnancy it MUST be all about the vag!na/uterus manipulation as if it's a playground for one-eyed willie....oh wait....shhhhhh....Mr. Flint and Catholic Priest said it is....my mistake
dang that is a good point no pills for men what a set up.

When men are in charge of birth control... women still get pregnant. The only sure way for a woman to be safe is if she controls the birth control.

...why are they allowing politicians to give that control to male dominated insurance companies? Nothing says freedom like putting yourself at the mercy of a third party payer.

Cicero, Sorry to tell you, but the insurance companies are not male-dominated. Maybe the positions of the Physicians who make these determinations are (which I would probably give you on that point), but I think that most of the employees at health insurance companies are female. In fact, I would place it closer to a 2-1 across healthcare in general, not just the insurance companies.

I haven't looked at all health insurance board of directors, but the few I've looked at are at least 80% men. Boardof director looks at the P&L and decide how to spend money. If an insurance company decides to increase profits by offering generic contraception and reducing selection, it will be the male dominated board of directors that decide. Regardless, when somebody else is paying, you are not free, you are at the mercy of those paying, whether it's a government bureaucrat or corporate board of director.
