Oh Box you are playing into the hands of Wall Street...It is not about Warren or Mitt, it is about GETTING THE MONEY FROM the seniors, those who are not able to "earn" their income- but who have investments. Yes, Warren you and Mitt are making more but are paying LESS of a rate. But no one in your office pays TWICE (watch at the end where the old man gets confused and states that the people in his office pay TWICE a rate) the effective rate of Mitt or you- Warren. None of the "secretaries" pay an effective rate of 30%, or they are imbeciles. Please don't tell me that people in the highest bracket don't have ANY INVESTMENTS that pay divs, or don't take their deductions, Warren.
Warren knows that the few super rich are few and that the lion's share of non-earned income will be grabbed at an earned rate will be from middle class elderly people who have INVESTED in order to get dividends when they are elderly. By discouraging the middle class from INVESTING, Warren knows that MORE WEALTH will go into the hands of the super-rich! because the current dividends (un-earned) income rate will be moved to the earned category- the MIDDLE CLASS WILL GET THE SOAKING BIG TIME!
If you want the middle class to get out of equities, then by all means rise the rates on unearned income. Counterproductive tax policy is what liberalism is all about. Make them rely on their Social Security!

Buffett didn't divulge an individuals rates ( I would assume for privacy reasons) but the AVERAGE in his office was 32.9%

Those people of the working poor that make $400,000 and don't invest their money, deduct mortage interest or have children- I am feeling bad for them. However to get to the 32.9 effective tax rate that single person would actually have to make $1,080,000
