a friend of mine shared a story....she was at PP end of her 3rd trimester for an ultrasound...she had been 'spotting'....went to the bathroom after her ultrasound...when she went back into the exam room the nurse asked her if she was OK... my friend said sure....MD came in to do exam and it was found that she had spontaneously (aborted/miscarried) in the toilet....MD demanded that she have a D&C in case she continues to bleed as her body evacuated the 'left over stuff' she really didn't want to have it because she didn't understand, but the MD was adamant....the MD performed the D&C of which during the procedure she kept yelling at the MD that she could feel it all and was going to be sick...the MD told her she was crazy....she went home and 2 days later ended up at the ER with a perforated uterus of which had to be removed due to the 'massacre' of the MD......
as for the Komen story......they should have continued with their 'divorce' proceedings......

School sex education should involve parents’ input, start in fourth grade and urge children to avoid sexual activity in the same way that school-based programs tell kids to shun drugs, tobacco and alcohol, the leaders of an abstinence-based program told a group of Shenendehowa parents on Tuesday night. About 40 people listened to a presentation hosted by the Shen Parents Choice Coalition, which formed earlier this year to request that the school district get rid of a program taught by Planned Parenthood. The group plans to recommend two abstinence-based programs to the school district as an alternative. Currently, Shenendehowa teachers teach students a comprehensive sex education program that includes abstinence and information about avoiding diseases and pregnancy. The speakers at Tuesday’s presentation said that type of program assumes teens are going to have sex and seeks to reduce their risk, rather than avoid the risk altogether by not having sex. “When we tell kids that we think they’re going to have sex ... what we’re telling them is that we don’t believe they have the will power to say no,” said Dr. Nanci Coppola, who with Dr. Mercy Mwaria outlined the Healthy Respect Program on Tuesday for the parents. It is a semester-long health course that includes a component on sex education. It aims to keep students from engaging in any type of sexual activity by helping them develop self-respect, discussing how risky choices can affect the teens’ futures and by teaching them harrowing statistics about sexually-transmitted infections, teen pregnancy and mental health impacts of engaging in teen sex.
