ANALYSIS: Is the Red Cross About to Declare Abortion a Human Right?
By Stefano Gennarini, J.D., and Susan Yoshihara, Ph.D.

New York, December 16 (C-FAM) A recently issued report from the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent has caused concerns that the organization may start advocating for abortion rights.
In a section of the report on human rights IFRC quotes a widely criticized document issued by Anand Grover, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health, which said, "States must take measures to ensure that legal and safe abortion services are available, accessible, and of good quality." The IFRC report goes on to editorialize, "But the real challenge is to find out how many states will indeed change their policies accordingly.”

This may lead some to believe IFRC could eventually declare abortion a human right as Amnesty International did in 2007. Amid much controversy, Amnesty International simply announced that endorsing abortion as a right was a "natural" outgrowth of its 2-year campaign countering violence against women.

Initially an external relations manager at IFRC told the Friday Fax the organization “definitely” did not consider abortion a human right. Gabriel Pictet, the manager of IFRC’s community health unit said, "IFRC did not change its position on abortion as a human right. To my knowledge it never had one."

Pictet said IFRC quoted the highly controversial UN special rapporteur’s document "because the issue of safe abortion is relevant to public health, to health inequities and to human rights. By ensuring access to safe abortions, rather than making abortions illegal and thereby unsafe, the likelihood of reaching the Millennium Development Goal 5 [improve maternal health] increases.”..................>>>>..................>>>>...................http://www.c-fam.org/fridayfax.....n-a-human-right.html

why do we care what Red Cross says????

violence against women leads to violence in the womb.....FACT

abortionists(very well practiced outside of medicine) have existed for centuries....but, along came the spider of penile medicine that put those same said abortionists out of business by usurping the greymatter of society into believing
it is better performed by them.....

there is a giant open career field out there......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

A clever play on words.
First the bait:
~ "Red Cross Declares Abortion A Human Right" ~ (Only there is a question mark after the sentence)
The title is an (almost) Fact.

Then the propaganda:
~ ..."may start advocating for abortion rights"
~ "This may lead some to believe IFRC could eventually declare abortion a human right"

Now the facts:
~ An anti choice group reads a report then distorts the conclusions of that report to fit it's anti choice agenda.
~ "IFRC “definitely” did not consider abortion a human right.
~ "IFRC did not change its position on abortion as a human right. To my knowledge it never had one."

Some one reading the Catholic Family Propaganda might actually think that the Red Cross advocates abortion.
Shame on them.  When the facts don't meet the agenda... make up your own facts!

There is a segment of society (as with avid FoxSnooze viewers) that will only hear the headlines... they will absorb the big
flashy print headline, and ignore the facts.
Their mind will hear:
"Red Cross Declares Abortion A Human Right"
and
"Is the Red Cross About to Declare Abortion a Human Right"

Henceforth, they will believe these headlines and ignore the facts.

(for some people, propaganda works)
