A private seller can legally sell a gun on the internet with out conducting a background check.

(So if you're a criminal or terrorist, and can't pass a background check, go on line to buy your guns)

Person to person sales are legal and it should be, just look into the Want Ad digest. What they don't tell you on this video is if you ship a gun it must be shipped to a dealer who has his or her FFL and then they do a background check, so this video is misleading propaganda.

You are correct!

Laws vary between states, but many states allow pistols to be shipped inside their states.

Federal Law requires that all modern firearms be shipped to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL)
only. The recipient must have an FFL; however the sender is not required to have one. Any person who is legally
allowed to own a firearm is legally allowed to ship it to an FFL holder for any legal purpose (including sale or resale).

Also, antique guns are exempt.  An unscrupulous  individual who would sell a pistol to someone who admits they
couldn't pass a background check would have little problem shipping illegally.

Since your only objection is shipping the pistol, a direct meeting between buyer and seller, would violate no laws.

As to shipping pistols, the more I read, the more loopholes are found...
Some examples:

Q: May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by common or contract carrier?
A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in
any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the
carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or
causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm.

[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a) (3), 922(a)(5) and 922(e), 27 CFR 478.31 and 478.30]

Q: May a nonlicensee ship firearms interstate for his or her use in hunting or other lawful activity?
Yes. A person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in care of another person in the State where he or she
intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to the owner. Persons
other than the owner should not open the package and take possession of the firearm.

Maybe I'm missing something but what is your point? do you wish all gun sales go through the government and make person to person sales illegal?  There is already laws in place which makes it illegal to ship a firearm to anyone besides the user or dealer, there is no loophole, if someone breaks that law then that law is broken and he will be arrested. If you want to get into illegal trafficking of firearms maybe look into what Obama did with operation Fast and Furious

Gun running is permitted as long the government stands to profit.

What you witnessed in the above video is a series of Felonies.  They are not unusual.
A similar crime happens at gun shows.
If you want to keep guns from convicted felons and terrorists, we need some restrictions and prosecute those who
break the laws... and more important, the lack of background checks makes it much more difficult for law
enforcement to track a gun used in a crime.

Holder broke the law by allowing the ATF to sell guns to the Mexican drug dealers without a background check.

the government has criminalized guns/ownership by way of fear......GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CRIMINALS WILL ALWAYS HAVE GUNS AND USE THEM IS BAD WAYS......THAT'S WHY THEY ARE CRIMINALS......how stupid we are......

my co-worker that lives on Stanley street showed me a picture of the shootout that happened there and the very very pretty gunhole in her UPSTAIRS window....she said her kids get all nervous and cower.....then they have to walk to
a fabulous schenectady city school.....YEAH......
then they have to be careful not to 'shag' anyone for fear of being shot.......

arms controls? really? it's like the falonious war on drugs.....JOKE

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Gun shows are personal sales 90% of the time, it is up to the purchaser to be within the law of being allowed to own a gun that is not the job of the seller. Gun shows now have background checks in place any ways but once he is outside of the show he is allowed to sell in a private sale.

Not unless the laws have changed in the last few months...

Jan 30, 2011
At a gun show in Phoenix , Arizona on January 23, 2011, an undercover investigator bought a Glock 9mm similar to the
one used by the shooter in Tucson 15 days before and three 33-round extended magazines, no questions, no
background check.

I think in the spirit of Obama care, there should be legislation proposed with a clever name like 'the citizens arms protection act' that mandate all adult citizens own a gun for personal protection from other citizens and the state.
