Speaker Boner doesn't need Obama to write this legislation. He has a majority in the House...If he wanted a bill all he had to do is write it. Then send it to the Senate for their approval.
Obama has no say in the matter unless it is sent back by a Presidential veto.
Once again... THE REPUBLICANS HOLD A MAJORITY IN THE HOUSE. If they wanted a bill for 1 year or 2 years or 10 years, all they have to do is WRITE IT AND VOTE ON IT. Instead they PREVENTED A VOTE ON THIS BILL THAT HAS ALREADY PASSED IN THE SENATE AND WOULD PROBABLY PASS IN THE HOUSE, IF BONER WOULD STOP DELAYING AND VOTE.

The Senate made changes to the bill which the House wrote and sent to the Senate now the Dems don't want to compromise because the want to try and demonize the Reps for political gain. |

By the way where's the budget that the Senate hasn't passed in over 900 days that's supposed to be passed yearly. Talk about not doing their job. |

It's the Senate's right and responsibility to change a bill from the House as they see fit. Nothing New here! The Senate is not bound to pass the bill if they feel it needs changes... Just as the House can change a bill... again...this is not new policy. THE SENATE PASSED THE BILL WITH 80% SUPPORT. That means Republicans in the senate passed this bill along with Democrats. The bill would probably pass in the House also... if Boner would allow a vote to take place. So to recap... The US Senate has passed a bill with overwhelming bipartisan support. The House would probably pass the bill with Republican support. The speaker of the House is preventing the bill from being passed. Most of the Senate wants this bill... the majority of the House wants this bill... But Speaker Boner doesn't. Is that how the system is supposed to work??? |

The Senate changes posed a problem so the House speaker doesn't want it to come to the floor for a vote, Pelosi did this a number of times when she was speaker. The Dems won't come back and compromise on the bill so why isn't it their fault? There are 2 sides to every coin. |

Shall I try once more? If the Republicans don't like this bill, they should just vote it down. They then can go back to the House and write a bill they do like. Then with the majority in the House they can vote FOR IT. Not that complicated. You say the Dems won't compromise... The Dems are in the minority... the Republicans can pass a bill with out them. The Republicans don't need to compromise... there are more than the required 218 Republican votes in the House. If the bill is not acceptable, vote against it, and write a new one. If it is acceptable, then vote for it. Again...not that complicated. |

The Drama Queens finally vote for a tax cut for the middle class:
"Bowing under intense pressure from members of their own party to end the politically damaging impasse over a payroll tax holiday, House Republican leaders agreed Thursday to accept a temporary extension of the tax cut, beating a hasty retreat from a showdown that Republicans increasingly saw as a threat to their election opportunities next year," the New York Times reports.
"Under a deal reached between House and Senate leaders -- which Speaker John A. Boehner was presenting to the rank and file in an evening conference call -- House members would accept the two-month extension of a payroll tax holiday and unemployment benefits approved by the Senate last Saturday, while the Senate would appoint members of a House-Senate conference committee to negotiate legislation to extend both benefits through 2012."
Washington Post: "If the rest of the House agrees, Obama could see the bill on his desk very soon. Under one scenario suggested by Congressional aides, the House would accept the deal in a voice vote, requiring only a handful of members to return to Washington." |

the passing of the payroll tax WAS ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN.....they pretended it was a difficult decision.....why? because in the next 3-4months everyone has to file their income tax....what does that mean.... all the F'EN $$ they have been handing out(according to the numbers runners for the FED Reserve Godfather) we get to claim as income.....anyone have an accountant to tell you how to hide it?
yeah, I didn't think so.....they call it a stimulus.....it's an anal stimulus that they will then take turn around via income tax returns, and stuff in our mouths....
THAT is what we are to the leaders of our time.....DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY SHAMEFUL |
