According to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll...  here is the list of what all voters said were the
greatest achievements of the Obama administration so far:

1. Killing bin Laden,
2. Bringing all the troops home from Iraq,
3. Preventing another economic depression,
4. Passing the health care law,
5. Improving America’s image abroad,
6. Saving the auto industry.

1.  Obama killed Bin Laden as much as Bush killed Hussein.
2.  The order bringing all the troops home from Iraq was signed prior to Obama becoming President.  In fact, he voted, as a Senator, against the surge that allowed the victory in Iraq to occur (but don't say the V word, we're just pulling out, we didn't really win).
3.  You can't "prevent another economic depression" when you're doing the same things that Congress (when you were in it) voted for before.
4.  Mandating a purchase of a product.  Not exactly freedom, as promised in the Constitution, and not a power of the Federal Government.  Also, this is going to the Supreme Court, so we'll see what happens.
5.  Bowing down in front of people and making your federation a laughing stock... you call that improving the image of the US?  Don't think so.
6.  It is possible that GM would have been closing if it wasn't for the bailout, but I thought that this was something he did as a Senator, not as President.  I mean, wasn't that bailout while he was Senator?  Also, he saved one company, if that's what he wants to take credit for.  How is it that he saved the entire industry?  I mean, isn't there more than one auto company?  Oh, we don't want to talk about those, because he didn't do anything with TAXPAYER MONEY (not his own) to take care of the issues.

NEXT???

Sorry, wasn't trying to be partisan.  I was just trying to debunk the "facts" that were posted.

Rampage I know where your going and i respect your posts, but while I'm not a big fan of Obama myslef, Osama did die under Obama's order, after Bush  anyone would have improved our image worldwide as long as they didn't sound stupid, and Obama's huge bailouts did temporarily save chrysler and gm, even though I think Chrysler will inevitably fold. I was just trying to point out that sometimes ones dislike for the opposing party can cloud their viewpoints of that leaders achievements, just as box did with his post claiming the economy is fixed, really? Their are no troops in Iraq, but yet there are, and the health care law is hated by the left and the right because it's only purpose is to line the pockets of the insurance companies, while providing little in actual healthcare imporvements.

Rpforpres has a right to an opinion, but the Facts???
Your post:
"1.  Obama killed Bin Laden as much as Bush killed Hussein."
~Obama made capturing or killing Bin Laden a priority of his presidency, then accomplished that goal.
~GWB made capturing or killing Bin Laden a priority of his presidency... then abandoned that goal.

There are some misguided Conservatives that give GWB credit for Obama's success killing Binladen!

Some FACTS:
GWB on BinLaden:
~"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest
until we find him."- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
~"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
~"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not
our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02
~"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts, 3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

For your support and leadership on killing Bin Laden,"THANK YOU BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA."

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Perceptions of U.S. leadership worldwide improved significantly from 2008 to 2009. The
U.S.-Global Leadership Project, a partnership between the Meridian International Center and Gallup, finds
that a median of 51% of the world approves of the job performance of the current leadership of the U.S., up
from a median of 34% in 2008.

Check that poll again after the USA cuts foreign aid to many of those countries whose leaders say that they approve of the job being done.

When you really look into 'foreign aid' it's actually mostly US CORPORATION WELFARE.

Most foreign aid isn't dollars given to other countries... it usually consists of CREDITS that allow foreign countries
to buy from US corporations often at inflated prices.  Much of the money never leaves the USA.

the healthcare law.....JOKE.....I've seen it in action already....people ARE dying from it.....it doesn't do anything to 'lift' anyone out of poverty or give more/better service.....it's about equalisation.....oh,,,and we WILL BE EQUALISED...
we will be crying in our coffee......no death panel needed.....

equalisation by governments is never about pulling up(that is the personal liberty of each person) it's about smashing down.....to make the plebs feel like they are now equal.......

the depression IS HERE.....HOW MANY FOLKS ARE LIVING ON UNEMPLOYMENT THAT HAS BEEN EXTENDED, EXTENDED, EXTENDED.....it's just a different version of a bread line......
and those are the folks that haven't exhausted all the benefits and then simply disappear into the 'underbelly'
and if they do get employed it's under what they were making

saving the auto industry? really? so a select few get their jobs paid for by the rest of us? that's innovation? innovation comes from line work? really?

the auto industry should have taken their lumps....the only reason they didn't is because the $$ that folks have invested in them and if that was hurt the country would 'appear' like it was in depression....nah,,,the Federal Reserve helped out
no real money changed hands....it's a halogram.....

"help me Obama-wan. I'm too big to fail. May the force be with you."

A blank page. His ending the Iraq War was 2 weeks ahead of the war monger Bush time table. America's image is worse abroad. In Egypt even OBL is more popular than Obama. Surprise Fast and Furious gun running to Mexican gangs Libyan War in violation of the War Powers Act and Solargate were left of his "achievement" list. Can't wait for his Attorney General to be impeached.

Obama's next success may be his reelection.
