85-year-old woman may sue TSA after being strip searched at JFK Airport 'I really look like a terrorist,' 110-pound Long Island grandmother says BY NICHOLAS HIRSHON NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Friday, December 2 2011, 9:36 PM
Gary I. Rothstein for New York Daily News Lenore Zimmerman, 85, shows injury she says was inflicted during strip search by security at JFK Airport.
An 85-year-old Long Island grandmother says she plans to sue the TSA after a humiliating strip search on Tuesday by agents at JFK Airport.
Lenore Zimmerman, who lives in Long Beach, says she was on her way to a 1 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale when security whisked her to a private room and took off her clothes.
“I walk with a walker — I really look like a terrorist,” she said sarcastically. “I’m tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.”
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows “proper procedures were followed.”
But Zimmerman, whose hunched back puts her at 4-foot-11, said her ordeal began after her son, Bruce, drove her to the JetBlue terminal for the Florida flight. She lives in warm Coconut Creek during the winter.
She checked her bags, waited for a wheelchair and parted ways with her doting son — her only immediate relative........................>>>>.............>>>>..................Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/new.....986198#ixzz1fZkw6Gfd
Looks like a terrorist to me. Meanwhile 12 Muslim men in headscarfs get ushered around security and get a red carpet to the plane so as not to offend them. Our government is really made up of as_holes. They disgust me.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

God Bless our First Responders AND the TSA. They do a very difficult job in keeping us safe and they do it well.
Except for the fact the TSA has never caught 1 terrorist since it was created and our 1st responders 99% of the time show up after the crime has been committed, yeah I feel a lot safer
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
The TSA does a thankless job and have given a good effort since 9/11. Many terrorists have resorted to using less obvious targets, and by the way do you think someone actually wanted to see this woman naked, no but they did it to keep us safe.
There is no reason why airport security couldn't be accomplished with private sector security people and it would be a lot cheaper and safer too. At least when a private sector employee isn't doing their job they can be fired unlike the TSA that just keep screwing up and nothing ever happens to them.
Expensive "safety" only for the percentage of the population who can afford to fly anyway. Maybe take some of that "safety" money and spend it in Mont Pleasant instead, so 15 year old boys who make the mistake of attending the wrong party don't end up dead? I've seen in the news a lot of people killed by cars, in cars, in fires, and by gunshot. Why is one way you could end up dead, air travel, more worthy of prevention measures than the ways that more of our population get killed every day?

Because although the government won't say it outright, there's not enough people to save by stopping one little crime here and there. If you tout safety on airplanes, you're either saving hundreds at a time, or you're saving the very rich who always fly on their own.
