Friends of ours bough ONE 44 cent stamp at that country farms on guilderland ave in rotterdam and was charged 60 cents. Is that legal?
We hear that there is a store in the city that sells individual cigarettes, out of the pack for 50cents a cigarette. Is that legal?

thanks for the link. Although it is about rolling cigarettes. I just questioned that if you walk into a store... can they actually open a pack and sell you ONE for .50 cents. Is that legal? |

I not sure about the legality, but does seem to be bad business since I think a pack of smokes is over $10.00..or am I wrong on that. |

I know that Stamps.com charges a service fee to print postage, so I bet it is 44cents for the stamp and 16cents for the service fee, I I bet it is legal. It i probably 15cents plus tax actually for the service fee. My own guess. I would not do it for the bad will it engenders but that is my own business sense. Usually the people buying the stamp just spent 5 bucks on something else plus 30 bucks in gas or something...my 2 cents worth. |
