Actually - it is the Republicans/NNTPers/Nayboobs who use the "scare tactics" and the lies to twist the voters minds.    My side just deals in the FACTS --- and the fact is that we need a new police station/justice center --and  we need the District #5 expansion.

Republicans/NNTPers/Nayboobs refuse to address the problems and needs confronting the town -- they lie and distort -- and kick the problem down the line -------------- Democrats recognize the needs and work together to actually solve the problems.

I bet you anything that the issues that are currently occurring at the Rotterdam Police Department will be used to state that they need a new police station as soon as the new regime takes control.

Right now, South Schenectady Fire Department is pulling out after checking out the issues at the RPD.  There were at least 3 fire trucks at RPD this evening due to the fact that there is some sort of an issue with the boiler.  I would guess that instead of just fixing the issue with the boiler, they'll be looking for an entire new police station, now they have "just cause."

And wait until they weigh in on the" utility savings" a new bldg. will provide.   Solar panels?,better insulated windows?, and the like.   The usual paraded out rhetoric in these types of proposals.   A" win-win" for the taxpayers.   Always offers a" long term saving", but it's always a short term "hit" for the current taxpayers.

Heard on the news..

Solar panels are dangerous if a dangerous situation occurs

First responders are at great risk.....and altho it saves on energy..  first responders need to have much

information on how to handle emergencies re the panels.....not like putting out a fire....

not afraid to tell the truth...this protects the firemen....they are not electricians....nor are the police.

It sounds so simple...but it's not..... there is fact to be presented and investigated...

There seems to be none of that in this Town....and need more of it.......then there is reason to put up a

fight for a new police bldg....or the start of  questions/investigations

Questions with answers.....not wait and see.......come on    .....common sense....

A car full of batteries on fire may present some problems as well.

Anything for another crisis, a law, and perhaps some training millions to boost the coffers. Maybe a new state training mandate?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Ohhh YES, and the OT and travel expense that comes with it. A trip to Montour Falls away from the wife, restaurants, and don't forget the mileage reimbursement at 55 cents a mile.

The schools tried to blow that same rhetorical smoke. New fuel efficient buses. New insulated windows. New energy efficient light bulbs! And yet the taxes continue to rise!!! It's all smoke and mirrors!!
