A victory for the rule of law, innocent until proven guilty with real facts and not assumptions.

That's right Shadow.  Innocent of conspiracy... a very difficult charge to prove.  The next time the FBI will
wait until the Right Wing Terrorists actually carry out their attack... then arrest them... and a conviction
will likely follow.
The only difference?  Next time, Americans will die.

Just your typical Birther, Oathkeeper, Right Wing Terrorist!

"KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A jury convicted Darren Huff on Tuesday of a federal firearms charge in what police said was a plot to
take over a Tennessee courthouse and force President Barack Obama out of office."

Isn't that why we have the right to bear arms?  To rise up against the goverment if it is unjust, and to keep the Queen of England off your front lawn.

No Vaedur... What you propose is called "treason."
Because some Right Wing Crazies decide that they no longer want to pay their taxes, get a drivers license
or follow the laws of the land... is not an excuse for Terrorism.

What you propose is similar to Timothy McVeigh's view.  If I think it's unfair... I have a right to overthrow
the US Govt.

Actually that is one of the reasons we have guns in america, is to rise up against the goverment if they become overly oppresive vs the people.  But yeah, this guy is obviously dangerous.  I think our forefathers were thinking more of a syria type situation vs "I just don't like obama" wierdo.

As passed by congress, the 2nd amendment states:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep
and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

There is no mention of:
" To rise up against the goverment if it is unjust"... Right Wingers do take the 2nd amendment as a RIGHT
to oppose their government...

Clarification:
If a Democrat is in the White House or Controls congress... then it's ok to overthrow the Govt...
If a Republican.... then opposing your Govt is treasonous, unpatriotic, and punishable by death!

I guess you would have to totally disregard the circumstances surrounding the Declaration of Independence and how it influenced the wording in the Constitution.  The Constitution wasn't written to keep generations of Americans submissive to government power.  Government agents are not above the law, how do the people protect themselves from a government agent that abuses its power?  The 2nd Amendment.

The non-mention of "To rise up against the government if it is unjust" is due to the fact that it is implied in the "being necessary to the security of a free State."

And as far as your clarification goes, it doesn't matter which part is in the White House or controls Congress, especially now, considering they're both the same, although it is ironic that for some reason, the Republicans have a little less to fear with the way they govern than do the Democrats.

I would hope the Honorable Attorney General will focus his efforts on Schenectady County -- where the REAL right - wing nayboobs are concentrated..   You would be surprised how a few well - written letters could influence both our REASONABLE representatives AND the Justice Department people.   I wouldn't be surprised if something happens on the Federal level to protect the public here in OUR county..........

So according to the wacked out Right Wingers on this board....
When GWB was waging an illegal war in Iraq...
I had the Right... NO The OBLIGATION to go shoot him to end the unconstitutional war...

According to Cicero:
"Government agents (GWB) are not above the law, how do the people protect themselves from a government
agent (Like GWB) that abuses its power?
The 2nd Amendment."

So...
~ Lee Harvey Oswald then was with in the law guaranteed by the 2nd amendment.
~ John Wilkes Booth, who shot Lincoln,
~ Charles J. Guiteau, who assassinated Garfield,
~ Leon Czolgosz, who killed McKinley...
were all patriots exercising their 2ND amendment rights... not just low life assassins who took it upon themselves
to kill US presidents.

I wonder why there isn't a John Wilkes Booth Day... Instead of a Abraham Lincoln Day???
Very strange.

Geez box, all the assassins you listed were punished by the state.  I was thinking about 2nd amendment rights to protect us from the governments paid assassins that are given immunity from laws.

Box subscribe to the idea that the government should have a monopoly on the use of force. Luckily our founders had the foresight to know that there would be totalitarians like Box who romanticize the use of government force and coercion to bend the minority to the will of the majority.  Our Republic was designed to prevent a simple majority democratic tyranny.  That is why box uses the obsessive reference of public polling to justify the tyrannical actions. Box would have posted that 59% of Germans supported Jews be put in concentration camps to justify it.  And those who were sympathetic to the Jews would be considered treasonous.

Shadow,
I'm glad that we agree a Hutaree conviction and up to 10 years in prison & a quarter million dollar fine,
upholds the Rule of Law.
David Stone, Sr. and Joshua Stone, both admitted to "possession of machine guns", a felony.
Based on their felony convictions, the Stones will never be allowed to possess firearms again.

U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade called the court’s order “disappointing” but said it “does not shake our
commitment to dismantling groups who would harm our citizens and law enforcement officers, and these
efforts will continue.”

“While we disagree with the court’s decision, we respect its role, and we recognize that reasonable
minds can disagree on where legal lines are drawn,” McQuade said.

On a lighter note...
The Bride wore a strapless black & white gown and carried an AR 16 with extended magazine...
The Groom wore Olive Drab camouflage, and accessorized with a black Bushmaster .223 caliber
machine gun with matching grenade launcher.
The happy couple plan to spend their honeymoon in the backyard bunker, reloading a few thousand
7.62 rounds for their M-60.
