Quoted from Henry

Yeah fighting taxation without representation is just like the goals of OWS I was all for them protesting and even for them using civil disobedience but once they started trashing private businesses they lost any backing by me. Truth is these people are scum, whatever message they did have was lost long ago once they started acting like animals.

Your words would be right at home 45 years ago discussing the Peace Movement.  The more things change
the more they stay the same.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

The peace movement protested the state that used the force of government to draft soldiers to fight an undeclared war in Asia.  The occupiers are destroying public and private property to protest income inequality?  Let's see, one group is protesting to protect Americans from dying fighting a foreign nations war.  The other is protesting that they aren't as rich as their neighbor, and they want the government to take it from their neighbor and give it to them.  Yeah...exactly the same.

If ever I need an example of convoluted logic, I'll just choose any of a dozen Cicero posts.  They're perfect.

Convoluted logic is your post.  My post is pointing out your convoluted logic and the overstating and over romanticizing of the OWS protesters.

Peace movement and Occupy movement similar?  That's a hoot. You just insulted the people involved in the peace movement.  At least they knew what they were protesting and offered a solution - end the Vietnam War.

When is this nonsense going to end? Which one of these suburban "protestors" will pay for the damage to our park and for police overtime? Nominate Alice Green a millionaire who can easily afford it.

The 'occupy anything' movement is a CIRCUS ACT! A FREAK SHOW! The laughing stock of the country!!! They are MINDLESS IDIOTS!!!

No one but no one is paying any attention to them!! They are a waste of time and energy. They don't have a collective brain cell among the smelly bunch of them. They can be out there smoking pot and camping out and murdering and raping and robbing and vandalizing and break laws until hell freezes over. And it will very soon in the northeast!!!

Nobody even gives a crap about them!! But hell....they can't pass up free camping, pot and a concert now can they?

I am an Occupier: Kevin

My name is Kevin.  I’m a 51 year old Marketing Communications professional married to a Special Education teacher. We
own a home where we live with our two great kids...

I realize that, because this is a highly inclusive movement without a leader or spokesperson, you’re seeing a lot of issues raised and it can be confusing. It might even lead you to believe that there is no particular focus of these protests. But my experience has been this: while the people taking part in Occupy Albany have many varied concerns that include, among others, the environment and student loans and unemployment and the way the Federal Reserve operates…there is one overarching belief that unifies them and that is at the root of most of their concerns: money is corrupting our democracy.

Looks like some are getting close to understanding...I don't know if he understands the federal reserve system keeps his wife's salary inflated also.  That may cause tension in the marriage.
