Apparently the Rotterdam Senior Association or the Senior Center itself decided to host a candidate forum for the upcoming elections several days ago, and it has come to the attention of many in the past 24 hours that they failed to invite anyone BUT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY CANDIDATES!
Making matters worse, the Democrats are going all out to now claim "The Republicans refused to attend!" in order to vilify the Republicans as being "against the seniors." I am not sure that the local news will carry this story even though it smacks of utter dirty tricks and continued unfairness, yet it must be discussed in this forum as the forum is the last bastion of free speech left in Rotterdam that has not been taken over by the county or town Democrats. I am aware that the president of the Rotterdam Seniors is a Democratic Committeeman, but I am not sure that it was his fault, but I certainly would like to know WHO was it that thought it would be fair or impartial to only allow one side to come to the town center to speak, when in fact the correct thing to do would be to allow BOTH sides to air their platforms.
I am calling on anyone who knows anything about it to come forward and post information on who was behind it and when it occurred. Also, who is the responsible party for politicizing the town senior citizens center?
Rotterdam has a long history of being a "one-party town" where the Democratic Party has its tentacles into many of the organizations. This one must be any exception. But it is wrong, and corrupt for this to happen. Americans still believe in fairness, and this IS NOT FAIR.
I'd like to know when this "Meet the Candidates" event at the Senior Center took place and who was invited and where it was advertised. I am the town chair and not ONE of our candidates nor myself was privy to this gathering. If we had been, I am sure that they all would have made every attempt to be there. In the future, I hope they let Republicans know about the event. I will contact the senior center and see what is convenient for them. I know our candidates would love to talk about issues that concern our seniors... |

Ooooo her majesty, the supposed chair who hods illegall meetings one after another I now gonna lecture about propriety!?!? Seriously? Tracy you are the biggest hypocrite ever! You can't hold legal meetings, you know no one supports your failed candidates, and you will finally be removed as chair!
As far as the center goes, who knows what happened? The reps all here say the reps weren't invited and all the dems say the reps were invited. Does anyone have any real facts? |

Go back and read page 3 and comments from Cicero and Graham Bonnet
they are telling the truth. The Sr Assoc led by a biased Pres has turned the Center into a place for a selected
few and it is a political arena and stepping stone for a terminated employee's personal agenda.
It is a shame what Rotterdam and the Center has turned into. The Pres enjoys making slanderous remarks.
The truth from the horse's mouth is that he is in the shadow of the Gentleman's Club plus ONE and that can
only lead to a downfall once these candidates get what they want.
The smoke is blown to protect their underhanded agenda. What better way to do this then at an Assoc Mtg
that takes place once a month. Selected participation. This is discrimination and partiality at its best.
AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO RUN THE TOWN???....took one person to bring the Ctr down and now it looks as
if history wil repeat itself time and time again.

Tracy the fact is you don't provide notice for meetings. The fact is you don't have a quorum at meetings. The fact is you fraudulantely claimed your own father was on the committee when he wasn't. From what I've been told....it was the senior citizen association, headed by this guy JS that put this together. It has been heard at the donut shop that this guy is bough and sold by the dems. Could just be rumor..just sayin.
