The only Red Barn that I remember was the one on upper State Street in Woodlawn. The Red Barn was -IMHO - much better than Mcdonald's or Burger King because it had a wider variety (chicken and fish in addition to hamburgers0 ----- but visits to a fast food restaurant were extremely rare occasion for our family -- as my mother preferred that we eat home cooked meals with the whole family together at the table.
There was a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Curry Road -- where Bagels N' Bites is now. Having the Colonel's chicken was reserved for those special occasions - usually a summer Sunday after church - when my grandparents hosted all the grandchildren and my grandmother was willing to allow someone else to do the cooking.
For really super special occasions - not more than once a year - my grandparents would take us to Veeder's on Central Avenue.
No matter where we ate - we children were expected to use our best table manners at meal times - this is something that has sadly been neglected by parents in the past 20 years or so. |

Spent some evenings at Bar on upper Broadway meeting with friends...first time I saw a stripper was there. Brought a friend with me and he about lost it when she came down and sat in his lap....I never laughed so hard.

I laugh like a ba%tard every time you post that in response to you-know-who |
| "While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat." |
