The real problem is
Congress, not Wall St.

The demonstrations should be before Congress, not Wall Street. To prevent the demonstrations from getting out of control, should the local governments reduce the size of the police force and give a tax break to the leaders of the demonstration to increase the demonstration and hope for the best?
Take a look at the big picture. The government has helped Big Business to produce more supply than consumers are capable of buying and we have a problem. To solve the problem, Congress wants to reduce the size of government and the regulations on Big Business and continue the tax breaks for Big Business to encourage Big Business to expand and produce more supply. Same logic, same faulty solution.
President Obama has presented a plan to invest in America and provide consumer funds to buy the surplus and restore the economy. Demonstrators should be in front of Congress pushing for the passage of the president’s plan. The people responsible for Big Business greed are in Congress, not on Wall Street.
How many of the people in Congress are receiving the tax break that is supposed to stimulate economic growth? How many people in Congress have been asked to pay just a little toward their free health insurance and retirement plans? How much has the size of Congress been reduced?

Tea party vs occupy wall st -----   extremists on both sides of the political spectrum .... mob mentality .. ill-informed  and easily led by opportunistic megalomaniacs      .............  neither group is suitable to be invited over for afternoon tea, a dinner party at the country club or midnight cocktails aboard the yacht.

If they assemble and get rowdy --- it is best to disperse them with water cannons --- so as not to damage public and private property .... and to help clean up the "debris" left by these hooligans.

Sounds like something you could have read in the papers of Boston around 1773, describing the REAL Boston Tea Partiers.

Yes - the atrocity of ruining perfectly good English tea by dumping  it in Boston harbour.

If only calmer heads had prevailed --- imagine - a few short years later -  if they had just invited those nice young men in for a warm meal and a drink of ale ... instead of ambushing them on that bridge.  Things would be much better today united under a common leader - the queen - the United Kingdom of England, Ireland, Scotland North America along with its colonies would certainly be the #1 power in the world.

The United Kingdom of England, Ireland, Scotland??? As I remember my history... the United Kingdom is only united by the blood of a few million Irish and Scots who were killed to keep it "United".

Actually there were some Scots who sided with the monarchy.  The monarchy provides stability and class.

The "monarchy" might have a little more 'class' if it were ENGLISH, instead of German ancestry.

(Braveheart... one of my favorite movies!)   "FREEDOM"  Swish (off with his head) after being hung drawn and quartered, the        'classy English' beheaded William Wallace... dismembered his body and scattered it throughout the country so he'd have no grave.
Now that's class!

Well - as some one who is distantly related to a member of the House of Lords who is himself some type of cousin to Queen Elizabeth (and in the order of succession) ...  I personally think an American King of Great Britain would be a very good thing.    Now -- how to get rid of all those others in line for the throne ????

Well -- that wasn't what I had in mind -- and besides my legs are too hairy.
