Of course they're going to tell you that there's nothing wrong with their books. Let's see what happens when they're told they don't have the choice, that they need to turn the books over how they start to squirm their way out of it.
"The HHS Inspector General and state Medicaid programs regularly audit Planned Parenthood and report publicly on their findings. These audits have not identified any pattern of misuse of federal funds, illegal activity, or other abuse that would justify a broad and invasive congressional investigation." |

HHS is a bureaucracy run by bureaucrats appointed by Obama and those sympathetic to organization like Planned Parenthood, and are not accountable to the public. Congressional Committees ARE held accountable since they are run by elected officials and not appointed, and it is their JOB to act on behalf of those that elected them to office. What a novice idea, democracy working. |

No Cicero, you're not getting a free ride on this one by "always blame Obama". The investigation includes ALL 8 YEARS OF THE GEORGE WORST BUSH ADMINISTRATION, as well as the 2 years of Obama. The Bushies prosecuted PP at every opportunity... or if you are suggesting that GWB is guilty of yet another crime by covering up PP's records? You RUN from your politics at every chance... what are you afraid of? Standing up for what you believe in, or RUNNING from your political agenda??? RUN FORREST, RUN!!! |

I don't understand why you think I'm running? You quoted HHS...That's an unelected bureaucratic body...Hey, guess what, "The Defense Contract Audit Agency regularly audits Haliburtion and Defense Contractors, and report publicly on their findings. These audits have not identified any pattern of misuse of federal funds, illegal activity, or other abuse that would justify a broad and invasive congressional investigation."
Who watches the watchers? I don't care if it's congressional democrat's launching investigations into republican sacred cows or congressional republicans launching investigations into democrat sacred cows. The point is, the investigations are initiated by an ELECTED body.
The investigation is just to make sure Planned Parenthood isn't using the federal funds to harvest your breakfast zygotes. Mmmmmmmm....How's a nice poached zygote sound? |

If democrats think PP is such a great charity, then surely it could raise enough money without a taxpayer bailout, right? |

For most of it's history, PP had bipartisan support from both parties. |
