Policing and its unions have laid down with the extreme radical anti-American, far left wing. Don't they like waking up with fleas devouring their entire body? No? I am surprised since that is where the "na-CREAM" is...

ALBANY — Police Chief Steven Krokoff roared to the defense of his department Thursday night, singling out city lawmakers by name in a blistering speech as he accused two of being "too weak to stand for the truth" and capitalizing on recent traumas for their own political gain.

The normally mild-mannered chief's scorching offensive, which he began by citing the number of officers injured in the line of duty in each of the last two years, seemed to stun some members of the Common Council, who had summoned Krokoff before them to explain his department's actions during the Dec. 22 showdown between police and Occupy Albany protesters in Academy Park.

But the chief — who appeared voluntarily before the council's caucus — also seemed to zero in, without stating it, on what he believes were some lawmakers' roles in the community tumult that has followed last week's fatal shooting by a police officer of a young black man in the South End.

"Recent events have taught me a lot about who I am, who our officers are, and yes, even who some of you are," Krokoff told the lawmakers, who unanimously and enthusiastically confirmed him for the chief's job just 17 months ago. "I have learned that despite the efforts that our officers make every minute of every day and the risks they take to keep you safe, there are still some of you who are willing to discount that for your own political gain."

Krokoff aimed his most scathing words at two council members in particular, Anton Konev and Lester Freeman, who have been vocal critics of the department in the wake of both incidents — Konev as a staunch supporter of Occupy Albany and Freeman as the representative of the South End.

"Shame on Councilman Konev and Councilman Freeman, who at every turn, seem so willing to distort the truth of any situation, no matter how tragic, and use it for their own personal gain," Krokoff said. "Shame on you both for mattering so little to yourselves and your community that you have to create hate and further half-truths just to feel some sense of relevancy. This entire city has seen the content of your character, and I pity you both."

The numerous police officers among the standing-room-only crowd that spilled out of the small City Hall courtroom — including the officer on horseback who used pepper spray during the Dec. 22 clash — erupted into applause and shouts of "hail to the chief" as Krokoff concluded his remarks, which sent Konev, a first-term lawmaker from the midtown 11th Ward, fuming...

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

a free liberty civilisation is not held together by police states......or the oppression by tyranny.....

a free civilisation has a soul.....FIRST....and on that soul the 'body' of the civilisation is built....NOT the other way around......

we get the government/legislation/laws/regulations that we allow/vote for based upon the TRUTH OF OURSELVES INDIVIDUALLY.....

"Occupy" 2011 word of the year!

The American Dialect Society, an organization dedicated to the study of language in North America, has named
“Occupy” its word of the year for 2011 following the proliferation of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement.

“It’s a very old word, but over the course of just a few months it took on another life and moved in new and
unexpected directions, thanks to a national and global movement,” Ben Zimmer, chair of the New Words Committee
of the American Dialect Society, said. “The movement itself was powered by the word.”

Beginning September 17, the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters pledged to remain Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan until something was done about the consolidation of economic and political power. The protest inspired others across the nation to begin their own “Occupy” demonstrations.

In America, how much does the public think there is conflict between the hollywood elitests and the rubbing of elbows with the electorate?

I doubt this will win over to many people, listen to them yelling let it burn while yelling like savages. By the way this flag was in city hall where they smashed glass and destroyed property along with stealing other items.

Here is the footage of the occupiers breaking into city hall, as expected they acted like the criminals they are. You can see them tearing the place apart while towards the end you will see a person walk out with the American flag.....which moments later they burned outside while the crowd cheers
