GWORST BUSH gave the rich billions... where is the jobs? NONE
Where did they invest? Offshore
Why would another tax cut for the Richest Americans convince them to invest in the USA? They won't.
If instead of a tax cut that will end up in Swiss banks or the Grand Caymen Islands, why not invest in the middle class
who will keep those dollars in the USA???

NO answer huh?

then lets give that huge Bush/Obama tax cut to the Middle Class.  They will spend it in America. They will invest in the USA.

SPEND IT ON WHAT?  BUY WHAT? INVEST IN WHAT?  What are Americans going to do, go to Wal-Mart and buy goods made in CHINA!!!  That is my point, WE DON'T PRODUCE ANYTHING.  If you give the consumer’s money and they will buy goods made in China increasing CHINA'S productivity and creating jobs and real wealth in CHINA, NOT AMERICA.

How do you get the stuff on the shelves in Wal-Mart to be produced in factories in AMERICA?  By taxing the "rich" and giving it to the poor?  The poor are poor because THEY ARE NOT WORKING, because America doesn't produce anything.  Unless you want a job at Wal-Mart peddling the stuff made in China.

Chevy is made in Canada, Mexico, as well as USA and many of their parts are made overseas, so what's the difference. Honda and Toyota employ American labor to build the cars the same as GM so you should be happy Box at least the high profits aren't going to those rich people here that you love to hate.

Do you own GM Stocks?  How did you feel when they were about to go bankrupt and we the taxpayer bailed out the evil corporation?  Do you like that privatize profit and socialize the losses?

BTW, I buy what is the most affordable and well built.  I don't buy American for the sake of being American.  That's the entitlement mentality.  American companies MUST compete and not just assume customer loyalty for a crap overpriced product that is American made.

toss $100 bills around a poor neighborhood and they DONT pay medical bills or rent etc(government does it for them because they 'act' for it) they go shopping off the back of a truck in NYC for stolen cell phones and black label clothing...

seen it, heard it....however, they will pay for their cable and cell phone bills, maybe.....

Again...the mindless freak show idiots are blaming the rich folks!!! How do you even process that when it was the government who used tax payer's 'worthless' money to bail out the rich folks!!!!

Can I let ya in on a little secret? The dems and reps are working hand and hand on this smoke and mirrors fiasco and the mindless idiots are actually helping them. Both the dems and reps do NOT want to tax the rich. It's the old 'good cop, bad cop' thing being played out before your very eyes. The dems are saying they want to tax the rich(which they don't), and the reps are saying not to.  The reps will win in the end, the dems will blame the reps and they will both laugh over a steak dinner on the taxpayer's dime!!! The dems and reps are just securing their own place in line at the bank!!!

Don't take a rocket scientist here folks!

The average Bush tax cut in 2011 for a taxpayer in the richest one percent is greater than the average income of the
other 99 percent ($66,384 compared to $58,506).

So?

Ok, 2 basic questions, both in 2 parts.

In your perfect world,at what rate should the 'rich' be taxed? At what income level will this start?

In your perfect world, what would be the lowest income level that could be taxed? At what rate would this start at?

I could only guess at a 'fair' tax rate for the richest Americans.  In my lifetime it has dropped from 90% (at that
rate the Rich prospered)... to something around 17% actual rate today.
Since all things are relative, and (as it was originally devised) we  have a progressive income tax system where
the richest'pay the highest rate.
If average Middle Income Americans pay a 30-35% rate, the richest, by design, should pay a much higher rate.
THE PRESENT SYSTEM HAS THE RICHEST PAYING THE LOWEST RATE, AND OVER 1500 MILLIONAIRES PAID NO TAX.

I'd leave it to economists to determine what is 'fair' but my guess is around 50-60%. (as it was under the Republican
God (bow your head) Ronaldo Reagan!

but then there are deductions......so at what level do you get those deductions?

should the rich be required to 'donate' 50% of their income to non-profits/non-government entities?....the less the government promises to be 'big daddy' the less $$ it needs to take in...
the less the government promises 'big daddy' protection for public unions the less $$ it needs to take in....

I just don't understand why the government has to control anything like food stamps and such when they also have to collect a tax to perform this 'big daddy' duty....shouldn't it just be left up
to individuals to survive? if they simplify the tax code (flat tax)  and get rid of the loopholes and credits for this or that there would be a flat budget.....

there are 2 familia gangstas shoving us around like cattle....federal reserve and our elected....TRADE WILL ALWAYS HAPPEN....if it wouldn't or didn't there would be no black market clothing/prostitution
street gambling etc etc......

our elected illustrious leaders are part of the 1% and know perfectly well how they will be affected at their bottom line.....they keep us having these stupid circular conversations so we dont look up....

there will ALWAYS be rich(subjective) who we think aren't 'fair'.....so what's fair? by who's plumb line?

So the subject of the post... A few cops assaulting the people they are sworn to protect???  No problems there??? No comments???
Yea lets talk about the 'housing bubble'.

Lets talk about the cop bubble
there are too many of them.
Like Fiat currency.
  Fiat cops have no content.
Fiat cops do not think for themselves they do what they are told.
So take the cops to "justice court" get a public pretender and make a deal
Cops are never wrong and when they are they have the full faith and credit of their owners to back them up with outrioght lies misconceptions and misinformation.
Not to mention the handy dandy legal twisting and bending of private law.

We didnt come this far to get this far.
