Unfortunately with the fiat currency, you can't make a run on the bank and pull your deposits out if you think your bank is making risky loans or investments.  Whether you take your money out of the bank, put it in a credit union, or under your mattress, the bank doesn't rely on your deposits, they get their deposits through the federal reserve system.  The fed will just print more cheap money, recapitalize the banks, and devalue the money under the mattress in the process.  People need to wake up and realize that the central bank and big government have us by the balls.  The system is structured that way.  Fiat money takes the power away from the people and protect the wealthy banking and corporate interests.  America is the furthest thing from capitalism.  That's just one of those lies repeated over and over that Americans believe it.

You wanna hurt corporate banking?  Stop paying your mortgage and close out all 401k and mutual funds.

CHA-F'EN-CHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who wants to own a fiat anyhow?.....dont worry xbox virtual credits will the future of 'money' trade and the rating agencies will rule......they already do.....

rating agencies are the strong arm of the fed reserve....they are the street sopranos....

what's your value?

Ok.

First off is I like the pretty colors of that chart .

Second is I LOL'd at the 'Politics' slice where 70.2% claim 'Independent/Other'....You can guess what 'other' is

Third is sadness when I realized that the survey is bullshit...Under the 'Jobs' slice, 47% say they have a full-time job and 19.9% claim part-time. If this was true, they wouldn't be 'Occupying'

These are the scum of the EARTH. DemoCRAPS.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The Grey Panthers Occupy Chicago...

The Jane Addams Senior Caucus (JASC),  group, which organizers claimed was nearly 1,500-strong,  marched to the
Federal Plaza in Chicago.
Chicago police on Monday issued citations to 43 senior citizens and their supporters who linked arms to block an
intersection near the city’s financial district.

“At every level of society, Americans are under attack,” said Karen Bocker, an “Occupy Chicago” participant and
grandmother of four.
“When the economy tanks, social programs are cut, not corporate tax breaks. We are under attack, and frankly,
I’m tired of it. The very people who are hurt most from cuts to social services – services that our tax money are
supposed to guarantee – are those who can least afford it.”

I want I want and don't take anything away from me. If this country is ever going to get out of debt everyone is going to have to give some of what they have back so that others will have the programs they need when they get older. Greed is what got us in this situation.

Shadow always blames the victims... instead of the criminals who caused this disaster.

I'm the same age as most of those who you claim are victims and I'd gladly take a 10% cut in Social Security if it meant that the program would be there for my kids.

So would I shadow.  But why should working men and women who've paid into the system take a cut when the
richest Americans give nothing to it.
Under the Republican GOD, Ronald Reagan, the rich were paying much more of the tax burden, and they were
accumulating wealth...
Today the rich pay a fraction of what they paid in the 80's... the rest of us... the working men and women of this
country have subsidized their share of the tax burden.

If you want fair then call your Congressmen/women and tell them to get serious about the flat tax/fair tax where everybody pays their fair share and eliminate all loop holes that allow rich people/companies like GE to get out of paying their taxes.

I don't think Box fully understands the extend of the fiscal crisis.  He really thinks we can tax our way out of this mess that has been created over the past 50 years.  "Taxing the rich" without massive cuts in government spending and change in the monetary policy will just assure the productive private sector middle class will continue to sink and be replaced by the government bureaucrat class.  ONLY taxing the "rich" will expand and enrich the government and the bureaucrat while making the small business owner private sector extinct.  All that will be left is a bigger corporatocrasy than the one that exists today.    EVERYBODY will be a slave to the banking/corporate/government establishments.  Individual small businesses will be wiped off the American landscape.

Every time the government takes over or creates a new department or program it puts a greater burden on the taxpayer who can't pay for the debt we already have. Taxing the rich is a joke as even if the government taxed them at 100% it would not even put a small dent in our massive debt. The tax code has to be revised, spending has to be drastically cut back, and the size of government has to be reduced or we are destined to become another Greece. Even SS, Medicare, and Medicaid must be overhauled because that's where the greatest spending is occurring.
