ok, this one's pretty pop...........first heard it while watching the 2010 MLB Allstar game.
I love words and how when you put 'em to music it's almost magical.............love rhymes and alliteration.......like
"helplessly, hoping, her harlequin hovers...." or "hey soul sister, ain't that Mister Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you move ain't fair you know"
Good one. She's got a hell of a voice and like her style.
When the INSANE are running the ASYLUM In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. -- Friedrich Nietzsche
“How fortunate for those in power that people never think.” Adolph Hitler
This is one of my favorite songs. I want it played the day my ashes are scattered over the landscape. Even if you're not a fan of wooden music give it a listen. I put the words here too.
".....too bad for heaven and too good for hell....."
"Stray Dogs and Alley Cats" Harley Allen
Every sunday in my momma's church I'd sneak some money out of momma's purse While she was praying I would slip away Down at the pool hall I'd play all day I'd meet her home and she'd just shake her head Your fluffing pillows on the devil's bed I'd say mom I know just how you feel But I made enough to cover all our bills
Too bad for heaven and too good for hell Little wings are better than big tails I don't expect to sit at god's right hand I could empty heavens garbage cans whoa ohh Hope their is room on those golden streets For stray dogs and alley cats like me
If they won't let me in the big front gate Maybe I can go in the backway I know my halo wouldn't shine real bright But it would get me through the clouds at night And I don't care if I'm the last to sing Ref I've got the smallest set of wings I'd watch those little devil's down on earth And follow them when they'd sneak out of church
