For any geezers out there who remember the les paul show on the radio here's a taste.

BTW In my mind his best innovations were in the multitrack recording field not the guitars.

WOW JoAnn....I don't recall you liking this kind of music back in our day.....seemed like only us Band Geeks discovered it.  Everyone else was into Stones, Beatles, Dave Clark, Knickerbockers, Janis; Airplane, etc.

Saw Dave Brubeck Quartet at the theater in the round in Latham 1965 or 66...5 rows behind Joe Morello who passed away earlier this year as probably the greatest technical drummer to ever live.

Yep....... Still say though his greatest innovations were in recording and multitracking. JMHO.  

I'm sure everyone knows also that after a serious accident which mangled his right arm, and the doctors told him he may never play again, he had them set it such a way so he would be able to pick his guitar...........dedication!!
