$50k....wow!!! An even better reason to take this out of the voting booth. What about Highway? How much is that worth?

BTW My questions are real. I don't know Todd from Adam, so I'd like to know his views, experience etc. I'd ask these questions of anyone running. At least Todd's here. Where are the other candidate/s?

I would pick TK over the usuals....

I'm overjoyed that someone else is running for Town Clerk and really appreciate your DIY approach Todd. I also appreciate that someone running for office in town has the guts to come on a forum like this using their real name. It's refreshing and now a couple of questions.

1. What are your qualifications for the position of town clerk.
2. Any ideas on how you can improve the operation of the clerks office, and in your mind just what are the duties and responsibilities of Rotterdam Town Clerk.

Personally I'm not quite sure that positions such as Town Clerk and Highway Superintendent should be elected positions. It seems to me that those types of jobs need to have very qualified folks doing them.

3. Would you be in favor of not having these 2 positions as elected offices?

Thanks in advance and good luck.

Thank you on the DIY comment.

Wow!!! Thanks very much for all of this. I'm hoping that the other candidates have as much integrity as you seem to have.

This is one that's bugged me for some time. I don't think anyone running for office (ie; supervisor, council-person etc.) should be paid a salary. I mean I always hear politicians saying "I want to serve the community so vote for me." And even though the money is basically "chump-change" it just seems to me it's dishonest. Town Clerk on the other hand seems to be a well paying and important job, and  should be taken out of the voting booth. We should be hiring/appointing only the best qualified people.

So that's all I have for now. Once again thanks very much for responding. I hope to be hearing from the other candidates also.

I wish Mr. Koza well. There are several people such as myself --- of reasoning ability that perceive him to be articulate and informed. Perhaps a brighter political career is in the future ....and I hope to see more of him

CHANGE...AND DIVERSITY...not REUNITE...not REVITALIZE......those didn't work before and won't work now...

I have met Mr. Koza's wife, back when she worked for the town clerk.   She is the ultimate professional.
From what she told me she worked in the medical field for many years (before working for the town)
where confidentiality was of utmost importance.  She currently works in the Department of Public Works,
give her a call, she herself will tell you.

To this day when asked about Eunice Esposito's medical history, she refuses to talk about it, citing EE's privacy.

that's well said....anyone can boost their image with words on a resume that they know by heart......there is no confidentiality in Rotterdam......NONE.......and take it from one who knows....politics makes strange bedfellows...talk is cheap and talking out both sides of your mouth is not professional.....

is to high....
