Conservative, what does it mean? Status quo is pretty much what the dictionary says. There are no moral implications in being a conservative. We all know Republicans & Democrats are immoral without any known values. People who profess a preference toward 'conservative candidates' in many instances believe they are getting a moral candidate. WRONG! I am a conservative, not because of a moral superiority but due to the fact the Board Of Elections messed up & did not change my enrollment to independent. Nothing moral there, that is for sure. I received mail from a self professed conservative champion of anyone who will believe this person, a 'cheat sheet' on who to vote for. I know this person has done less than honorable things to secure political advantage, not moral. The way I figured it, if this person is for a candidate then that candidate is not moral. No doubt a good conservative but not moral. It has been my observation that Democrats conduct their 'private' business in government in a manner that is more conservative than Republicans. This does not make Democrats moral, just conservative. Sounds like Schenectady County to me. If this confuses you, then you are the typical voter who votes with a hood over his head. The Know Nothing Party maybe extinct but the know nothing voter is alive & well. The primary in New York City for the 'Weiner seat' in Congress was a breath of fresh air. The primary in Schenectady County was much to do about nothing. As Jimmy Hendrix sang, "nothing gets you nothing". You got a big nothing Schenectady County, the status quo (conservative) has been maintained. PS I voted against every candidate the less than moral one suggested I vote for. |
