The Budweiser video got me so shook I had a hard time logging in, tears were making it hard to see.  Then the crying started.  Took me a bit before I could even see the blasted keyboard to post.  Such a sense of sorrow came over me.

As far as I am concerned this should be the impetus to round up the Tea Party Traitors and lock them up, so to prevent any further acts of terrorism. I would not be displeased to see the Governor curtail the primary elections in memory of this attack. We are now under attack from the anti-family right wing and it is just as bad. As we speak the forces of hate are gathering like clouds on the horizon and are willing to win by election what they can't seize with guns. Once they are elected our freedoms will end. They are remarkably similar to their idol, a certain mustachioed man with a bad hair cut who did the same thing in Germany once. I say, call off the primary in memory of the victims. Resume the normal election schedule in November after our wounds have healed.

Wow, takes a life form lower than a rock to ruin a thread honoring those of 9/11.

Join the human race and grow a heart.

Thank you Bumble, that was a lovely video.

Vzglyad, Russia

The Empire Strikes Back

By Anatoly Wasserman

Translated By Olga Kerzhner

9 September 2011

Russia - Vzglyad - Original Article (Russian)

This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the largest terrorist act in history, which was organized (at least officially) without the direct involvement of any government agencies.

The response was rapid. America adopted the Patriot Act, which allows the government to poke its nose into every crevice. The Department of Homeland Security was created. Almost anyone who disagrees with the policies of the ruling party is declared to be a terrorist accomplice. The legend about American freedoms has cracked.

But the main thing is that "the empire struck back" around the world. The United States invaded Iraq. They got involved in the centuries-old civil war in Afghanistan and took the drug producer's side. They also acquired military bases in former Soviet republics in Central Asia.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the American story. There are reasonable explanations for almost all of them. And what I've seen on live TV a decade ago is more in line with the official version of events than with conspiracy theories.

However, 24 Arabs in America behaved so ridiculously for such a long time that the CIA could not have failed to notice them. Al-Qaida — that is, the conduit for payments of Saudi money to terrorists recruited by the U.S. to fight against our forces in Afghanistan — was unlikely to bite the hand that feeds it. And most importantly, the timing of the terrorist attack was too convenient. The U.S. was just finishing its post-Soviet legacy, and a crisis was once again on the horizon. Such coincidences are too rare to make them believable.

I have had enough of the stuff on TV. I remember everyday and never forgot. If you want to remind someone, it wasn't me who voted for Obama so he could make it tougher for the "rules of engagement" for our troops. It wasn't me who said terrorists need rights and trials in courts like pickpockets and common criminals. Talk to the Obamites and democraps, they are the aszholes who forgot immediately.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

BT, another YouTube video of the same commercial states --
Here is the famous commercial Budweiser produced after 9/11. They aired it only once -- during Super Bowl XXXVI in January 2002. This one-minute spot features the beer company's trademarked team of Clydesdale horses trudging across snow-covered ground into New York City where they stop to gaze upon the Statue of Liberty and the city's skyline before lowering their heads on bended knees in a gesture of respect"

Thanks. I remember hearing that a few years back, but wasn't sure if it was true!  It was truly a block buster video honoring 9/11.

I was pleased to see that thyey showed it today during the football game....it really is a great video.  And like GB states, to many of us it's a daily thing...the anniversary is everyday. The world changed on 9/11 and that's the world we live in today.  I hope our children will also remember and honor 20 years from now. I travel to many places overseas for work, and can honestly say with pride that America is still the greatest country in the world.

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

We may be a great country in comparison....TODAY.......I'm not so sure about it's future if it keeps going in this direction.
