Hmmm, a double post. Looks familiar...

Just heard that the bridge in the jct collapsed. The gas line that fed the jct went down with the bridge. There is now no gas being supplied there. Can anyone confirm?

Another portion of Route 103 bridge collapses

ROTTERDAM JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Another portion of the bridge spanning Route 103 over the Mohawk River in Rotterdam Junction has collapsed. The above picture was taken this morning.

The bridge has been taken a battering over the past few weeks in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene and intense flooding in the area.

YNN has a crew heading to the scene. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.

THE PEOPLE OF ROTTERDAM JUNCTION HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR BLUNDERS! If anything the bridge and Lock are NOT STABLE because of you and the HORRIBLE PATAKI YEARS THAT KILLED OUR INFRASTRUCTURE!

People I know at Saint Margaret's of Cortona Parish have lamented to me this past week that their biggest mistake was voting for YOU and your withered sidekick Mr. Amedore. You have done NOTHING TO HELP!

And if GG wants to blame Mr. Farley, then I think that we can squarely land this falling bridge on Paul Tonko, right?  (And Tonko would have one of those that didn't push the legislation through to Pataki's desk, right?)

Someone just heard on YNN that they expect the entire bridge to collapse. Heard it was collapsing 10'/hour. Dont know if that's accurate or not. How old is that bridge? Not even 10 years is it?

WITH HONOLULU HUGH IN OFFICE MORE THINGS WILL BE COLLAPSING AND NOT JUST HIS HERNIA.

Has Paul Tonko spent enough time in Amsterdam to even check out the Lock out there?  And what about the power plant right on the river up there that was flooded out?  I wonder if he was wading around it in his nice fancy suit.

All of the rotterdam residents, volunteers, police and fire depts need to be commended. There are many many folks who have personally taken donations to many areas that have been hit by this hurricane. They all say with out a doubt, that rotterdam jct is by far the most organized for as organized as anyone could expect in this historic tragedy. Good job and hats off to all of you who have worked so tirelessly and unselfishly during these hard times. And to all of the property owners...............hang in there!!

Very stable, Was this a press release from Stratton's office?

Bridge is stable....gb obviously is not.

Someone from the jct told a friend of mine that the si group is thinking about bringing in a big propane tank for themselves and the jct until a gas line is run. Anyone hear the same thing?
