You would think the government would have better things to do then to stop the production of the best guitars ever made. And people wonder why some of our companies are saying screw this country and leaving

Yes very very sad and completely nuts.  I hope he has hired a law firm specializing in international law.
why was Gibson raided ? because someone in the Indian government is jerking the chain- the answer to why they were raided starts at the 5 minute mark Indian law requires that ALL the work on the fret boards be done in India- get mad at India because someone in their government wants more of the work done there= more $

Henry please dont start with politics because I dont even know what GOP stands for- If you wanna talk about Jeff Beck or Les Paul- thats different-

Yeah, India forced Obama to destroy a fine AMERICAN COMPANY. Did you read the article? HAve you seen the madness that these imbecilic enviro-Nazis have caused in the music collection? Yeah, Jeff Beck is one the best, I agree. I knew Cozy Powell who played drums for him once. So what. This is about our crazy democrap government running insanely AMOK! Will he have to have HIS guitars seized? I doubt that.

Why don't YOU democraps stand up for JOBS?

WORKERS?

ORDINARY WORKING PEOPLE?

SMALL BUSINESS?

Sorry GB I just noticed you already made a thread about this. This is disgusting, they said this wood is like selling blood diamonds from Africa Sure enough these enviro-Nazis like you said have no problem destroying a great American company to pursue their agenda.

Some members at the DailyPaul are now trying to get something going with Gibson, something in the line of having them make some custom Les Paul's to help them out and then we can have them auctioned off to help the campaign.

Henry- if you are going to post a video- I think the least you could do is watch it-

So forget about the blood diamonds- this isn't  even about the wood- it is SPECIFICALLY about the fingerboard blanks that are PARTIALLY  finished in India- INDIAN LAW says they cant be exported INDIAN LAW requires ALL the work be done in INDIA before it is exported- if they finish the fingerboard in india they are OK-

If they send it partially finished and an American worker works on it thats not OK-

Yes its disgusting- and there will be musicians to the rescue but gbonnets political venom is pathetic

why aint the fret boards made here by american workers ,that way they do not have to deal with  the indians,
gibson like many other older companies used to be something ,
things aint what they once was.
In the store the other day my wife was ranting on about some clothes lands end she says All American made right up there in main.
HA I told her no way not anymore,
She was adamant,
So as we walked thought the store I picked up a lands end sweater,
my my made in sri lanka.
hhehe
I used to work for american standard they have toilets made in countries all over the world.
I dont think any one in america wants to work at this stuff any more making toilets or making guitars, even sweaters,
everyone wants a cushy government job,
Oh yeah get a state job good pay great benes.
but why the raid???
it is never what it seems somebody pissed off somebody along the food chain .

We didnt come this far to get this far.

Why would our government enforce a policy of India in our country, seems if India has a problem they would have dealt with the producers of this wood. All the problems this country faces and our government wastes time and money attacking an American business. This is nothing new, regulations here have made it illegal for many to receive or produce a product in which there is a demand for.

Lets try it this way- under the Lacey Act and International Manufacturing Law you can purchase  raw goods legally from India however if you have them start milling the fret board and  the finished product is NOT Manufactured in India it is deemed Illegal subject to criminal prosecution.  I will guess Gibson was trying to use some cheap Indian labor to get some of the rough work done first. I will not buy an Indian Made Gibson. It is apparent this law is counterproductive to manufacturing in the used to be Good Ole USA

The Gibson CEO actually says this at 5 min into your video ( if you would only watch it ) but the news reporters just keep asking irrelevant questions.

Apparently Somebody, in a vain attempt to defend Obama at all costs, has not looked into the case very well. But furthermore, why is the Obama tyranny enforcing INDIAN LAW? Why are they using American armed federal police to attack American workers and intimidate Americans to make INDIA HAPPY?

Because they are democraps and they hate America. That is why. They are always AGAINST America and Americans just like their muzzie prez.

When Gibson got raided, they had to shut down operation. you stop and think- : if the Obama Administration is trying to turn the economy around, why would they be going after a company who builds instruments in America, employing American workers, and is one of the "good guys" from an environmental point of view ?

Ill bet you like Dolly Partons version of 'Stairway to heaven ' - nice banjo solo at the end.

Well, I guess the GOP took over the justice department, right? But the fallacy of your above argument is that the premise is flawed.

That, you refuse to see, although it is as clear as day to the casual observer and the self-employed- who are the modern day Jews under a Nazi boot, only 80 years later across the ocean from the start of the first Holocaust. The most hated and vilified and persecuted of all Americans is the American self employed small businessman.
