Suspected Illegal Immigrant Faces Charges in Alleged Hit-And-Run Death of California Boy

Published August 23, 2011

| FoxNews.com
Charges have been filed against an unlicensed driver and suspected illegal immigrant who allegedly killed a 4-year-old boy in a hit-and-run accident, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The newspaper reports that prosecutors in Sonoma County charged 22-year-old Marcos Lopez Garcia with felony hit-and-run, two misdemeanors and vehicular manslaughter, among other charges, in the Thursday death of Christopher "Buddy" Rowe of Santa Rosa.

Garcia had two prior arrests for driving without a license, according to the newspaper.

Christopher was reportedly killed on his way to soccer practice while crossing the street with his mother and two sisters, including the boy's twin.

"Little Buddy will be remembered as an energetic, curious, active young boy, who was also kind, compassionate and caring, especially with his twin sister," the family said in a written statement. "We will always remember his ever-present smile, beautiful steel-blue eyes and peace-loving nature.

"The man who stole Buddy's life from us will be one day free, but we will always carry the burden of losing him forever," the family said.

Garcia is being held in the Sonoma County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Illegal Immigrant in Arizona farts!
  Video at 11!

(yea, not any actual news here either)

I guess for some people, a tragic traffic accident by an irresponsible driver is some how related to him being a "suspected illegal immigrant".

Yeah, he just wanted a better life. Lets not ask if he has a license or took driver ed. Just don't be "racist." Leave him alone to do what he wishes or we are impinging on the poor undocumented worker's freedom and "rights." But for you me and everyone else, bend over and pay, and  take the exam, and get the insurance, or go to jail. Special rights for non-whites as usual.

I must have missed where it said this guy has special rights? It appears he's under arrest and will be serving prison time. Just like the American that ran down the boy in troy a couple months ago.

Except the illegal has 'no rights' and should be deported....yes?  They aren't the same under the law/constitution....no?

The state of Georgia has done a fine job  of ridding themselves of their illegals...
The farmers of Georgia are paying premium wages to find someone... anyone to pick and pack their produce.  Some of their crop will be left in the field because there is no one who will pick or pack it.   Because of this laborer shortage, many farms may go out of business.

Way to go Georgia!

I thought we had an unemployment problem in the US? It sure looked like it when I saw the report of the job fair sponsored by the congressional black caucus in Atlanta last week. I guess these agricultural jobs are "below" these people.

There are ways to have people from foreign countries get work visas when it's time to harvest crops and when the harvest is over they go back home with the money they made.

Even legal workers are concerned with HB 87.

"I heard people talk about some of these legal guys are going to leave the state, and I didn't really believe that. But that's happening now," said Drew Echols, farm manager at Jaemor Farms in Alto. "Folks are scared to death. It's hard to get this community to understand what this law does."
"Fruits and vegetables in Georgia were worth $1.1 billion. We could see a $200 (million) to $250 million loss, potentially,"

Don't ya just love this Racist Conservative Legislation... Way to go Georgia!
Ya got rid of your illegals... now pass me that $7 Peach!
