Interesting... In general...The Republican South, that fights against 'social programs' keeps their population in poverty. Hopefully, Obama care when fully implemented, will help alleviate some of the medically driven poverty.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

If Obamacare works as well as President Hope's ecomonic and jobs policies during his first 3 years in office, you can count on those poverty numbers to double.

Or better yet, the middle class will be taxed to pay for MORE welfare programs and wipe out the middle class, and there will no longer be poverty, but just 2 classes, the rich and the rest.

Obama care may not even be implemented if the Supreme Court rules the individual mandate unconstitutional because it won't have funding. The Health-care law needs to be overhauled and re-written to cover tort reform along with the rest of it's mandates minus the individual mandate.

it's called survival of the fittest.....the only thing keeping the south at poverty are their slow a$$ schools and their own desire to live
that way....people have what they have because they have what they have......and according to Obama he was 'lucky' to get
his degree and be groomed for president and his other steps....so apparantly luck IS where it's at...certainly not personal
choices, personal responsibility and reason......

I took a job that offered health insurance....when I was part time it cost me $600/month for family coverage....not rich by any
means,,,but instead of shopping for new clothes and other crap for a short time this was MY choice.....

show up down there and ask them there folks if they think someone is standing on their backs because they look oppressed...ask
them why they stay? ask them what would be a better life for them?

have you ever heard how folks answer questions when asked by politicians.....it's the 'at least clause'....

at least the government could do
at least they should
at least it's safe
at least it's....blah blah blah..

the sad part is that when we start talking about the 'at least clause' it becomes the most we ever make an effort to do

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
