Yes, that's why so many people voted for the tax district.

Before REMS was a  paid organization there was a perfectly good volunteer ambulance squad that did a good job of supplying the towns needs for emergency care. REMS took a lot of taxpayer money in the form of ALS and the records seems to have disappeared so nobody knows how much REMS owes the town. They took more of the taxpayers money in the form of grants for new equipment and who knows how much longer they will stay solvent when the equipment must be replaced again. They wanted a tax district to permanently become a parasite on the taxpayer so they wouldn't have to run like a real business.

NO ONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH REMS.....it's the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$......issue.....they need to work it out or GET OUT of the business.....

ALS OR BLS? can you tell the difference? what do we get for the buck? I'm not free and I KNOW they aren't for free.....so figure it out

I guess I should have stated it this way ~ The issue is not whether or not REMS is bad for the community, the issue
fact that another ambulance company could achieve the same thing and provide the town with income.

For the record, the Public Works Department or the Highway Department would be responsible for maintaining the circle and NOT the Parks and Recreation Commission.   The commission has co-sponsored and worked at clean up days in the past .. and will be sponsoring and working at similar clean up or special project days in the future  ------ but the circle is NOT a town park so don't expect us to be cleaning that up.

Of course, you claim to be such a wonderful citizen --so volunteer your own time and clean it up yourself.
