They are just telling the truth about our countries debt...In reality, they should have lowered our rating months if not years ago.

Shame on the republicans for not realizing revenues HAVE to increase.
Shame on the Dems for not making REAL cuts in entitlement programs.
Shame on Obama for failing to lead.

Shame on them all for only thinking about the next election cycle.

...Shame on Americans (me included) for allowing ourselves to be lulled into the left vs. right staged debate for too many years, while the bureaucrats were robbing and destroying the nation.

I would not surprised to see a complete flip of power in the 2012 elections.
The pubs win the WH and senate and the dems win back the house... the sad part is, it leaves us with the same mess.

I don't listen to Limbaugh at all but he said Obama is a "debt man walking" for 2012 and he is probably right.

Limbaugh and the other talk shows hosts are so friggin brilliant that they know exactly what's wrong and can blame anyone in power at the time....if they are that intelligent and all knowing, why don't they run for office and fix everything.  They are leeches and I have no use for them.

I'm with all of you, we keep electing democrats and republicans which are really two sides of the same coin, then we act supprised when they continue to do a lousy job. America needs to wake up. Our country has cut taxes and raised spending, and now our politicians pretend to be almost suprised that the debt is going through the roof. In your personal life when does taking a pay cut and spending more money ever help your finances???? It's so simple it's sickening

You need to really look at your own checkbooks and those of people you know- government of all levels is confiscating an ever increasing portion of your earnings through taxes, fees, and levies without regard to the amount of waste, pouring your money down a rathole 99 pennies out of a dollar. Do you really think that "raising taxes" and that any portion thereof of the new-found levies will be spent on arresting the debt??? When have they actually used new revenue to pay debt, as they continually re-mortgage your children's future over and over and over???? The government is a mad, evil, hungry beast that only seeks to grow, fattening itself on your labors and redistributing the fruits of your labor to those unwilling to work or wanting to profit from your sweat. It bloats itself and hires more patronage, expands itself and its reach and then uses your money to make its onerous presence felt in your life on an ever increasing fashion. With a smaller and smaller group of people paying the lion's share of the taxes (through redistribution schemes like the EIC) you are saying "lets punish work, ingenuity and risk taking and reward laziness, ignorance and sloth" every time you proclaim "just raise taxes."

Anyone who is victimized by living in New York State should understand this illustration better than anyone, yet sadly it is the highest taxes states such as NY who find themselves in the deepest debt. Coincidental or an accident? Because if what you people are calling for- higher taxes is the answer then we here in NY, or California or Massachusetts or Illinois should have a fat larder and little debt.

We don't have a revenue problem, we have a HUGE SPENDING PROBLEM. If you want to blame the newly elected congress that wants to cut spending for these problems, then you flunk basic arithmetic. Or you can't read, or you haven't taken the time to do the needed homework to understand the big picture. I know those of you who are not in the democrapic camp you fall over yourselves not to be "partisan" but in this instance you flunk.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Who Does America Blame For the Debt Crisis?

In the wake of the prolonged debate over the federal debt limit, Americans have a less favorable opinion of the Republican Party, according to data from a new CNN/ORC International poll released Today.

~ Republicans... Only 33% of Americans have a favorable view of the GOP, while 59% unfavorable.
In July those numbers were... 41%Favorable, 55% unfavorable.

~ The Tea Party also dropped with just 31% of Americans saying they have a favorable opinion, down from 37% in July.

~ Democrats... favorable opinion of Democrats was 47%, up 2% from last month. 47% unfavorable.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Ohh wow, Americans are always sooo smart and never waiver in opinions based on the weather. Right, if we just spent more money everything would be peachy.

Polls this far out don't mean anything.. Americans have notoriously short memories.
quote me on this Box... If things are not significantly better a year from now....Which means unless unemployment is below 8% and GDP running at least 3% increase per quarter, Obama is toast.
The only way the pubs can f this up is to run Bachman or Palin, anyone else will wipe the floor with Barry.
Rick Perry is a crapshoot. The Dems will try their best to push the Jesus angle on him, but I don't think it will stick. And there is a very good chance the houses of congress will switch parties, all leading to the same crap we have right now.

You know what I love about this...The "Tea Party" have a small constituency in one branch of government, and they actually list them as being responsible for a $14 Trillion debt and a broke entitlement system.   I don't think anybody from the “Tea Party" sponsored or cosponsored any legislation that passed and became law.  That poll just goes to show how absolutely clueless a large number of Americans are.  And how dishonest pollsters list a false choice for a problem created WAY before the so-called tea party even existed.

The Federal Reserve just announced it will keep it's near zero interest rates for another 2 years What's more sickening is hearing people calling for the Fed to start dumping trillions of more dollars into the market to try to calm it down, this country is toast.
