Kerry spokesman stripped of Silver Star Thomas Lifson
John F. Kerry almost became president running on the basis of his alleged heroism in Vietnam. Thanks to the efforts of a group of truth-tellers, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, the serious holes in the fantasy narrative propounded by the Kerry campaign came to the attention of enough Americans that John Kerry was not the first faux-Irish President of the United States.
One of Kerry's enablers in propounding his imaginary heroism was a man named Wade Sanders, who himself held a Silver Star, and who introduced Kerry to the Democratic Convention. Scott Swett, who was central to the unraveling of the Kerry storyline, tells us that the Kerry enabler has been exposed for what he is. His Winter Soldier site has the details:
John Kerry was introduced at the 2004 Democratic National Convention by Wade Sanders, a retired Navy Captain and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy who served as a Swift Boat officer in Vietnam. Like Kerry, Sanders was the recipient of a Silver Star for gallantry in action. During the 2004 campaign, Sanders functioned as Kerry lead attack dog against the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, repeatedly denouncing the veterans on the air as liars and comparing them to Nazi propagandists.
Wade Sanders is now in Federal prison, serving a 37-month sentence for possessing child pornography. Now the Navy Times reports that Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has revoked Sanders' Silver Star. The highly unusual decision appears unrelated to Sanders' felony conviction. A Navy spokesman cited "subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and the processing of the award itself." John Kerry has to be hoping this doesn't become a trend.
As one might imagine, the media has ignored this story. Even the Navy Times declined to post its own article online.
An interesting story. If the Navy Times won't post the 'alleged' story that is attributed to them, how do you know it is true, and not just some Right Wing Blog Fiction??

If it's false you should have no trouble disproving it.
OK, I will do the work. But first I need a valid story... not a blog or someone's opinion, but a fact based report... ABC, NPR, FOX, The Dept of the Navy... I can't prove or disprove a rumor with out at least one actual fact.

San Diego- In a highly unusual move, the Navy secretary has stripped a Silver Star awarded to a retired captain and Vietnam swift boat veteran who is serving a federal prison sentence after admitting to child pornography.
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus revoked the Silver Star, the nation's third-highest valor award, which was awarded nearly 20 years ago to retired Capt. Wade Sanders of San Diego.
A spokeswoman for Mabus confirmed the secretary's decision, which he made in August 2010 following a review and recommendation by the Navy Department Board of Medals and Decorations. "Mabus signed a memorandum in which he revoked the previously awarded Silver Star," said Capt. Pamela Kunze.
"Had the subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and the processing of the award itself been known to the Secretary of the Navy in 1992, those facts would have prevented the award of the Silver Star," Kunze said.
Sanders, a former deputy assistant Navy secretary rose to prominence seven years ago as a swift boat veteran who supported the 2004 presidential candidacy of Sen. John Kerry, D.Mass.
Sanders in 2008 pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography after an FBI investigation led to his San Diego home and the discovery of pornographic videos on his computers. He received a 37-month sentence as part of a plea deal; he has maintained he isn't a pedophile and was researching the subject for a book he planned to write.
It's not clear whether Sanders conviction played a role in him losing his Silver Star.
The Navy declined to release a copy of the memo, which Mabus addressed to the chief of naval personnel, who in turn would be responsible for the administrative actions to pull the award from official naval records.
Kunze would not say who or what prompted the review of Sanders Silver Star, nor would she say what new information had surfaced about the Silver Star.
"Additional information was brought to light after 1992," she said. "Those facts could have prevented the award of the Silver Star at that time."
She gave no specific reasons as to how Mabus or the board came to their conclusion.
The sole authority for revoking a medal rests with the service secretary, according to Chapter 2 of the Navy and Marine Corps Awards Manual. ___
Again... it may be true, it may not, but if true then a valid source should not be difficult to produce.

Shadow... None of the links you provided worked. They all came back as "404 Error: Page Not Found"
The home sites of your links are all blogs... A blog, by definition is an OPINION site.
Again... if this story is true, and I'm not saying that is isn't true... there must be a reliable link to the story. Navy times? Dept of the Navy? ABC NBC FOX CBS PBS NPR BBC etc.
I could if I ran a blog, post that Barack Obama was a General in the United States Marine Corps. It would be a lie, but it would appear on my blog, and some people who read it might think that it was factual. Get it??? A blog is just an opinion site. Not necessarily true.

I did go to Navy Times and could find no information of Sanders medals being revoked.

By Glen Johnson, Globe Staff
The Navy Times has run a story saying that Wade Sanders, a Navy veteran who defended US Senator John Kerry during the 2004 Democratic presidential race, has been stripped of his Silver Star.
Sanders received the medal not while he and Kerry were in Vietnam, but in 1992.
“Sanders in 2008 pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography after an FBI investigation led to his San Diego home and the discovery of pornographic videos on his computers. He received a 37-month sentence as part of a plea deal; he has maintained he isn’t a pedophile and was researching the subject for a book he planned to write,” the Navy Times wrote.
“It’s not clear whether Sanders conviction played a role in him losing his Silver Star.” Glen Johnson can be reached at johnson@globe.com. Follow him on Twitter @globeglen.
THEN CLICK ON THE STORY LINK WHERE IT SAYS "The Navy Times has run a story " Where does the link bring you??? Not to the Navy Times but instead to a BLOG... What BLOG??? SwiftVets.com The same Right Wing anti Kerry site that has been campaigning against Kerry since the '70's. http://www.swiftvets.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=179944&sid=a751c24c0d07cf22a148a45bb299b69d
Shadow... If this story is valid... why can you find no reliable source for the story??? Everything is online... every thing. But not this story from a reliable source... Only from Blogs and linked to Blogs.
The more I read about this story, the more I think it's just one more page in the SwiftVets attack program against John Kerry.
I've spent hours on this story...and found nothing. If anyone out there finds an actual link to some actual facts, please post them. I'd be very interested in reading the TRUTH of this story... what ever it is.
